View Full Version : Alloy Wheel Welding
Anyone know any one local? I cracked a wheel in 2 places but they still hold air, I just need to bend the lips back out and welded the cracks up.
DC Welding in keynsham i think do them
Dont suppose they can skim the faces back to get rid of pitting as well?

Lepsons in swindon can do that as well... they sorted my wheel out ... that said they did take for feckin ever to do it tho i got the old "it'll be done next week" about 3/4 times including drove down there once and they went to fit a tyre to it but when it stuck it on the balancer it was waaayyyyy out so i had to come back empty handed and go again another 2 weeks later....
That said it was very cheap and the work was good in the end - £50 it cost to have a wheel straightened and welded.

When I had the alloys on my BMW refurbed by Lepsons, they only charged me £10 per weld (I needed 2 cracks repairing), but I was having a full set refurbished.

I have a cracked buckled wheel too. Also interested if there's anywhere local.
Anyone know somewhere more local that can straighten out a buckled wheel? dont rly need a refurb as such just made round
I really struggled around here to get someone to polish my rims so I think you may need to go further afield for something like straightening.
It cost me 15 quid to send my 4 outer rims to Scotland. Cant be to far off the weight of one wheel so it might be worth sending to a specialist.
