So surely the 1983 pound coin that i have in my pocket must be worth more as its from the year it was bought out??? (I think) I might try and find an old 1/2 penny and see what that goes for

The actual bid for the pound coin was £1.20!!

The Sun printed an articcle about it that a £1 was worth £1.20 on ebay.

Ever since that article the coin has become famous, so therefore people are bidding on a coin which has been in the paper, not just for a pound coin!!

If you read the whole ebay page you'll see a link to the Sun on there!!

Missy, I still don't think you're to grips with why it's at £210!!

Yeah a £1 note is worth a bit more than £1 to a collector, but this £1 coin is only worth £1!!

People are just trying to buy the coin which appeared in the Sun!!
