When have they said yours will be done daren? Mine still has no engine in it :( and last i heard it still had no crank in the engine!
Looking at middle of next week at the VERY EARLIEST at the mo.... which means it'll be about 16 days as opposed to 2 as originally agreed - not bad, 8 times over schedule!

Peter said it will be ready for next saturday, but the history in our cases is not exactly that clever:eek: .I dropped the car off to him on monday so he would have had the car for 2 weeks which he said was long enough.
The icing on the cake is that Bobby bullsh1t keeps trying to approach me to ask if i would put my car on their stand at Billing.
Might play him along if it means that the car will be finished on time:D

Say yes you will provided they have both your car and Arrys done on time.

Yeah do that!
Then they can have a "best" and "worst" comparison lol. Imagine if they honestly put our cars up on their stand - ppl come up and ask "is this yours?", you ans "yeah, its mine" they say "did this lot build it for you?" "yeah, eventually, after nearly 2 years and about 6000 phone calls" :D

Is this a safe course of action. Me vote Bob in the lake, preferably with a scrap engine round his neck :D

Hold up there fellas.....
Did I hear the words Bobby Bullshit and Billing in the same sentence.
I was over there yesterday and he asked me and Pete and I quote, "what is this Billing then?"
He told my Dad that my car was finished yesterday and when I got over there, I found that the ECU didn't actually have a chip in it, rather the ECU emulator.
Did get it back yesterday tho :D
Sorry guys :)

True.
What really was funny tho, was when I took the car over, he even tried to argue that I hadn't booked it in, yet in the diary it said....
Ashley Map with injectors
Fit Pulleys as per engine project
Clutch and Flywheel.
My response to him was "Bob you really should stop telling thes lies you know.." :D

Well if he was the w@nker driving the 300 that nearly hit me yesterday then I whole heartedly agree:thumbs:
What can i say about bob - other than  the man is a complete and utter waste of time.
Pete should just run the gaff himself - i'm convinced bob is half the problem. When he went away a couple of weeks ago everything down there seemed to run so much smoother

Been talking to a friend who knows dealer in totalseal rings and i mentioned about yours burning so much oil, as i'm thinking of using them for my rebuild. They should in theory bed in quicker than normal rings and he was wondering what oil you was using to bed them in with ?????? ;)

I guess thats why they call it Theory !!!!
Everyone, and I mean everyone, I have spoken to regarding these rings says the same. They are a complete nightmare to run in, and take forever. This list includes Gary at GTart, Ian, at HiTeq, Mark at Abbeys, Co-ordSport who sell my Ross pistons, and several people who specialise in race and rally preparation whose oppinion I hold in high regard.
To quote "Total seal rings are MEANT to be great when they bed in right. BUT I cant afford to build an engine more than once because the rings dont seat correctly so I PERSONALLY wont ever use them again." from a man who is currently running well over 400bhp from a customised vauxhall N/A lump now fitted with a T4r.
Sorry to be a downer, but I couldnt honestly recommend using them unless you dont mind taking your engine out more than once, even if they are meant to be the dogs doodahs once working correctly.
I will update this thread when I know more at the end of this week, start of next. Sorry for the thread hijack BTW.
Regards,
James.

I heard that Total Seal Rings are a bit of hypocritical term. The fact that they don't Total Seal seems to be the problem.:(
Hope it works out for you :)

Which ever one is handy in copius quantities at the time!!!! lol
Started with some mineral running in oil - which also was used to put em in with, which has been suggested didnt help as alot of people recommend fitting them dry, although the guy who said he used a sniff of lapping in paste was seriously taking the pi$$( I hope!! ) - of around the 15-40 grade, I think, it seems soooo long ago !!...............burnt 6litres of that in 600miles
Then moved onto to Castrol Syntec 0w60.................burnt 4litres of that in 600miles
Then Millers competition oil (also 0w60 i think).............burnt 8 litres of that in another 800miles
Used some havoline race oil as it was all i could get, and did 4 litres of that in 500miles
And now done another 4 litres of millers in the last 500miles.
Oh, and a set of plugs:rolleyes:
I must say though, it does blow some truly HUOWGE flames, about the size of a golfing umbrella, Jim potter spotted em from over half a mile behind when I wasted a cossie going home from the last 1/2way meet !!!!! :D :D :D
If that aint value for over £200 worth of oil this month (and £700 worth of go juice) then I dont know what is  :|
lol
