I thought it was probably about time we had another dyno day, as usual the cost will be £30 for members and £40 for non members.

My car lives again, drove it last night :D oil and filter change tomorrow and hopefully will have sorted some air intake improvements by the dyno day.
Not sure an accidental 1.74bar was a great experience for the engine though, it shat itself for half a second :wack:

Well as there is only 10 cars it will most likely be from 10 until 12:30, so if everyone could get there for 10 that will probably work the best.
mate of mine is interested in possibly running his mota on the day as well, would that be ok? maybe stick him on reserve list?

my bloody turbo oil seals have gone this morning and its smoking extremely bad. it still on its standard t25 so im not fussed about the turbo itself.
(perfect excuse for an upgrade)
but am i going to be ok to drive up from the isle of shite.
ive been waiting to get it dynod for ages and dont want some stupid smoke runing my chance.
Hmm, tricky one, just how bad is it? smokescreen when driving or puffs of smoke at idle?
That's just wrong on so many levels young man...

just do it mate - mine smokes very slightly and intermitently...
take it easy coming up (off boost) put on rollers (its only 2 runs you get if im correct) and then easy drive back...
+ if you have aa etc for peace of mind... if its just started smoking imo its unlikely to just blow up that quick..
in the past ive had 2 s13s that had same problem, i still drove them "sensibly" ish and kept on smoking for a month until i changed it but never failed on me
your call ;)
I`m more thinking if it`s causing a smokescreen when driving it will be a crap journey. Also if a lot of oil is getting in to the intake it can increase chances of detonation.

right i think theres so good ish news. i had completely forgot that over a year ago i put a one way valve in to help the problem.
well ive just checked it and the valve has jammed open, so quick trip to moreys for a new one and what do you know,
Goodbye smoke. YES!!!!!!
i know its only supposed to be a temporary fix but i cant fix it with no money.
