Well done D, you can now hold your trousers up with a much nicer colour belt ;)

I'm obviously going to be biased towards Aikido as it's the only art I've ever tried, but I love it. There are no kicks, it's all wrists, arms and shoulders.

"The Art of Harmony" It's got a strong spiritual side to it, and the 'Ki' part is fairly prominent. Positive thought and mental projection, and all things are possible. I start as the assistant for the junior classes next week hopefully, and the way we try to explain Ki to the younger kids is by likening it to the Matrix :D

It's good fun, though. If I can do it, anyone can :)

Congrats! I used to do Ju-Jitsu a while back and got to the orange phase. I would just have had the green test and enough lessons but then I quit for some reason. I´ve been wanting to start again.. Maybe I will someday..

either the yellow belt it tighter than the old one, or you appear to have lost weight too. :)

I thought I looked bigger in the white belt one, actually.. The white belt picture was only taken a few days ago, and the yellow today. Thanks for saying nonetheless, nice to know at least all this bloody exercise is giving the illusion I've lost some :D

Nice one. What does the new belt mean then? Can you now fold a piece of paper twice, is that it? ;)

Why do you look unpleasantly surprised in the second one though? :)
