View Full Version : My dream car is......

I've been thinking lately about the amount of people I've seen on here who say things like "I'd love a Skyline" I'd love an s15" etc and I was wondering

What nationality is your dream car, the one you would buy money no object?

I have to admit to not liking Japanese cars much - too much technology and not enough flair, that said I'm afraid my dream car is German and not Italian.

I've seen how they assemblr Ferraris and it's little wonder they cost so much 'cos all the workforce seems to do is smoke

My second dream car is a hybrid British/American. For a bit of fun can anyone guess what it is?

Right now it's a humvee, so I can drive it through the wall of someones house and use an optional machine gun turret to blast their sorry a$$es into the middle of teh next century. Stupid gits.

I quite fancy a gull wing starion, prolly wide body, with a Honda NSX engine

GT40? allthough I thought they were european/american

I would however, kill for a MKIII GT40 with the cammer engine in it.
When it comes down to it, the British allways do it best, though.

Nope, no-one has it yet. Think along the lines of the AC Cobra, it's not the Shelby Mustang but it has a Mustang Engine.....

I've had this conversation with my mate too many times, and its too hard to choose.

AC Cobra's are stunning, yet probably the most unpractical car ever.

McClaren F1, just for driving the fastest production car in the world(at the moment).

Or,

A fully race spec R34 Skyline GTR, at around the 700bhp mark. All the go, all the grip, all the toys. And the ability to eat supercars for breakfast, and embarrass them.

The British are winning!

Who'd have thought it on a BB devoted to a Japanese car?

Martin T
29-06-2003, 14:59
Not really that surprising since Jap cars are basically limited to 280BHP, and they dont really do exotics as in more than £100k cars.

I suppose so, it just seems at odds with the amount of people who seem to drool over Skylines etc. I'm not saying they're a bad car and I wouldn't say no if offered one but it's no Cinderella is it?

The ugly sisters: Skyline, Imprezza and Evo ;)

EDIT: but my dream cars cost considerably less than £100,000. The Tiger costs a tenth of that, so it's not always the cost

Don't really know what I'd have, there's so many to choose from :/ Although this http://members.lycos.co.uk/voodoomelon/SXOC%20images/Scighera.jpg
is fairly high up the list. Except it's a concept :(

If I was worth pots and pots of money I'd have an A.M Vantage (the one they stopped making about 5 years ago).

Mind you, that Koenigseggsgeggsgegsgegsgeg they had on Top Gear looked rather knobtastic.

Might go for one of them! :notworthy

Note for the 100NX crew: Neither of those are FWD :wack:
