ABS light staying on

I know, I know, it has been asked before ,BUT my ABS light won't go out.

I have checked on the old board and tried the suggestions there; take the fuse out and drive around for a while then put the fuse back in....didn't work

Has anyone had this problem and managed to fix it?
If so what was wrong and how did you fix it?

Hoping I'm not looking at a billion pound problem......Dave in deepest Dorset

Clean the ABS sensors, the toothed wheel that they sense and the check the wiring to them. They are all vulnerable to damage & dirt. New sensors are a possible scrapyard purchase, I don't know what they cost new.
