who here are just using their cars as their work horse, and mildly tuning them?

and who has the ultimate goal of a fast and furious looking motor?

A reliable 310BHP and I'll be happy.
Used as my day-to-day car.

Im after a good 300bhp, plus a 100 shot of nitrous.

as for styling, get it low on 18's. keep it fairly standard bodywise, with a new paint job, and maybe graphics of some kind.

~350 bhp.

JUN/Edge-style custom bodykit.

JUN eyeline OR Mazda 6 Headlight conversion - depending on funds.

JUN spoiler.

Possibly a wide-arch conversion.

Possibly a scissor-door conversion.

Nissan Midnight Purple 2 re-spray.

Similar in style to this...

Use mine as a toy and to mess about with.. hopefuly gonna have it riced eventually. Not to bothered about the power... 300 would be plenty.

however.....

If my engine goes...... V8 time :D originaly thought about a Rover 3.5/4.2 V8 but i'm being drawn towards a Merc 400/420 or Toyota truck engine. Gonna have to see just how feasible it realy is.

i love that spoiler on the jun car.

i dont really want to up the power, then have a body kit im scared of damaging.

I have been using mine as a daily driver, 330bhp isn't enough :) (power figure in sig is an old figure) I hope to get 370bhp and then maybe sell the 200 and fit the engine into a kit car.

I use mine for fun only now. No real plans to do much else BHP wise (though I did start off by saying I wouldn't mod it at all) but would like to improve the handling and the braking.

280-300 bhp is my overall target, maybe get a shot of nos to take it up to 350 ish bhp???

no bodykit in mind

sitting on 18s perhaps lowered

possible windowtints

and get rid of that ugly front grille somehow!!

Not much plan wise for mine; I can't do much cos of the insurance :( Woman on the phone said I could have up to 20% power increase which is about 200bhp total? or so although I can't be that far off that now. Bodywork wise I'm not gonna get a bodykit although a spoiler is a possibility and maybe alloys money-allowing. Oh and brakes would be a good idea too.

Daily driver, going for about 380 hp. Its going to be a bit of a bitch of a daily driver with rock hard suspension and the paddle clutch but I think I can put up with it :)

I wouldn't describe a "Fast And The Furius" style car as anything to aspire to, personally. Just not my style :)

About 320bhp at the moment, would like to get nearer 400bhp and still use it as my daily driver

i would like around 320hp. I reckon this is far as you can really go on standard cams, injectors, pistons, rods and turbo. If iwas going to start changing those things i'd want well over 400hp as they are so expensive, doing things like that just to increase your boost a few psi is pointless. 300 would be plenty for me as i do alot of motorway driving, i would like a bodykit and full respray. Im dissapointed about how high my car sits even with eibach springs. I really want coilovers now, drop it another inch and half.

Anyone got cheap coilovers or know where to get them?

One thing to remember is everything must be in proportion, with 300+ hp you need sorted brakes and handling, plus expensive clutches etc etc

Boost does not equal power, and I think you can push the pistons and rods just a bit harder than that myself :)

yeah i reckon so too. but if i did and something went then it would be forged pistons replacement, which leads to new rods, blah blah blah. 10k later, a very fast 200sx and alot of debts. Maybe i should do it though....

I am gonna leave mine engine wise once the boost is turned up as that should be circa 280bhp

Next up will be suspension and wheel mods.

Then thrash it till it dies in a big way and at that point chuck 15k at it.

i think you have to be sensible. I only have this car as a gtr is out my league. I do love it but its nothing to a gtr. I would rather keep this till im 25 then go down the skyline route where you get far more power easily, plus 4 wheel drive so better handling/traction.

yup, the 200 aint a gtr skyline, but it would be fun having enough power to keep up with a standard one(320bhp i think?)in a straight line! We do drive superb cars tho compared to the rest of the sh*te on the road.....;)

I'mm 226BHP and the rear wheels thinks it's about 270 like to get up to 300 and then apart from lowring it with some Eibachs and a nice little spoiler that's it - all going well should have a nice Cerbera next yr - although have had a go in a Skyline the other day and could get a nice one for a little less than the TVR but insurance is a joke.

Kp

200's ROCK!!!

hadyn
29-06-2003, 09:34
still with the 200 boosty, its more reliable than a bloody TVR!! ;)

Ken

Ben Taylor 464BHP

Errmmm...

Daily driver, on coilovers

Future plans include, Zorst, decats, lower brace (probably Nismo Power brace), anti-roll bars all round, FMIC, and respray a number of panels that have been moddified by collateral damage from someone hitting the central res on the other lane next to me, and an egg?!?!?!!

Then run it till it dies, then by a Vauxhall Vectra as a daily driver, then 450bhp poject......either tuning the SR20DET or buying a Ice automotive Chevy V8 and a Porsche 928 manual box, and fitting them, which evers the cheapest ;) :D

Once a month driver for me, due to company car!!

Although, I realise now that it's worth more to keep as an occasional car than it is to sell it!!

So . . . . .

Respray on the way!!:D

Mines a daily driver (10,000mls in 3 months)
Loved every mile:thumbs:
Hate parking it anywhere (aquire's new dinks and scratches at an alarming rate:mad: )
The worst whilst parked up at home:mad: :wack:
Would like to get towards the 350 ponies point.........and then perhaps a little NO2 at a later date:wave:
