Does anyone know of a good rolling road in Glasgow. Just bought one of them Bren's devices off Bren. Along with plugs. Was wanting the car checked on the rolling road to make sure there is no det. How much is it going to cost me to get the SX on the RR and if timing need adjusting, would they be able to do it for me there.

Thanks in advance ;)

there is that place AVA turbo near glasgow airport, but a few people on here were saying that they knew nothing about 200sx's! though in saying that they would still be able to tell you what bhp, torque etc, plus what your fuelling is like. I think its about 50 quid an hour on the rollers. ;)

u could try jap performance in irvine, ive heard good things.
Wouldnt touch AVA personally.
sick of the blah blah K+N filter blah blah, these cant take anymore than 14psi of boost on standard internals blah blah.
It is £50 for an hour of them fcuking about looking at other cars etc, then one run, if u really pucsh them u may get a printout of wheel horse power, but dont expect any more than that.

hey mate,
places usually do group discounts if we can get a few folk interested.
maybe a scottish rollin road thing?
Im up for it anyway, cause I wanna c what mine is running.

how much were the cold plugs? and what do they do? I have heard a few folk say u should always get them.
do they up power better cause of a better spark?

i think colder plugs dont give anymore power, i think they just dont melt at higher tempretures, as you up the boost i think internal tempretures soar and can melt the standard plugs. i think you can get about 240-250hp without having to change for colder plug on a 14, but check with someone else first. ;)

Think I'll try jap performance then if AVA has been getting bad feedback. If anyone else is interested maybe we can go together and see if we can get a discount.

wow, thats alot. i dont think your going to get 15 people together without alot of notice beforehand. Be worth finding out if its actually worth it as if you only get 10 quid or something off it would be easier just to pay the full wack.

with 15 peeps the price is £20 a car, with 20 peeps thre price is £15 a car.

Id be up for another rr day.

Y dont we pick a time, say 3 weeks or sommat and see who wants to come?

well by then i might have the front pipe and decat, boost upped and poss induction kit. So by then it would really be needing the rr session to check fueling etc etc

August would be good. I'm trying to save cash to get a new intercooler from Bren. I'll definetly have all my bits fitted to my car for the RR day if people are up for it in August.

AVA don;t klnow there arses from their elbows. they also don;t do WOT runs which is shite. there is a UNICHIP dealer in Irvine called strathclyde autotune. was there at a RR day few months back. not the perfect set up IMHO could do with bigger fans but car ran fine and I got 167hp which was nice. an MR2 got book figures as did a few VTR's. they recored my friends Supra TT at 480hp which was nice.

vibrio, strathclyde aototune are now running under the added banner of jap performance.
So its the same company.

U were all in all; happy then?

there is a post for the rr day now boys btw

hey ross,

The colder plugs were about £40 i think. Got them from Bren. I've noticed slightly better performance. The box said u should get better performance and fuel consumption. Hows the new car going?
