dont know, but they do seem to do it quite often, do u go for their proffessional range with lifetime guarantee??
Yeah, although i've heard their spanners are not very good. Tbh I just need a half decent socket set so that I dont have to go borrowing off my neighbours everytime I wanna whack a spark plug out
Snapon do a nice set of rachet spanners for just over 100 notes, which at snapon's usual prices seems too good to be true, so i'm gonna get them aswell - along with a lottery ticket :D

when they had a 3 for 2 offer on i got a ratchet, a set of sockets from about 8 to 20mm and a set of sockets from 20 to 34mm
i was impressed cos i used one for undoing wheel nuts and it didnt break which has got to be a first, if they break u just take it back and swap it. must say though, they are a bit expensive when theyre not on offer. snap on are well expensive, but then ive never heard a bad word against them.
Snapon stuff is the dogs...
Too expensive though considering like you say a broken halfords socket will just get replaced under warranty.
What made me definately decide they were okay was seeing them used on the 700 brake sumo power R34 to change his alloys at the pod, so good enough for them, good enough for me.

the biggest halfords pro kit i think is a 150 piece set and its currelntly at 120 quid rather than 150 quid, also all teng tools are on clearance:)

Was planning on just getting the 150 piece one, should have everything I need.
To be honest though, if the three for two was still on, I was gonna get three and flogg em on so three people pay £80 instead

Bought a 49 piece set of Teng tools for less than £100 at Halfords. It includes a tourque wrench. Quality of the set is superb.
