Longwell Vue car park - 1400h Saturday.
Hopefully the weather will be good.:)
I should be able to make it along with Spirit! Though it's seriously unlikely that her car will be repaired after the Weekender incident.
Many thanks to Cr33ch for the intercooler. The bits we still need are possibly available on a breaker just up the road from Spirit which maybe obtainable next week. Hopefully it'll live again before the end of August.

I'll be at the next one depending on when it is! I'm hopefully (fingers, arms, legs, toes etc crossed) dropping the 13 off for MOT/polish and things on Saturday morning so can't make this one :(
I won't be at this one, saturday's the first day I've got spare to get in the unit and get cracking on the 14 so I'm on that I'm afraid :smash:
Maybe we should all turn up at your unit :D

Any photographers coming? Would be great to go for a joy ride around Bristol and get some photos for the calendar :thumbs:
I can imagine places like the clifton suspension bridge, docks or the industrial musiem look good to get us some awesome shots, failing that take a drive out to some of the local dogging spots to get some real interesting shots:D To be fair theres loads of places around our area for photo shoots, just need to be a little inventive. A quick google search found me these places (dont knwo about access though...):

well I'm sorry to say it's getting race prep'd :rolleyes: so, most of it's getting stripped to bare metal, rust fixing and stich welding will then commence :D
I keep finding myself missing S13's, think I might have to get rid of the R33 and get another 13 to bosh around in :p

umm not 100% if i can make this one i think i might be away... but if i can make it, has anyone got an exhaust decibel reader? i wanna know how badly i cant go on combe now... has anyone also go a 4.5inch bung i can try out to see if it gets quieter?

We tried Brunel lock last year, they've strengthened the bridge to get onto the middle bit so low cars can't get across now, shame.
On a side note I was hoping to organize a swap meet this month, (also doubles as a SXOC calendar photo oportunity). Hopefully now we'll be able to throw in a BBQ for the ocassion!:thumbs: What with the Catering Manager promotion!:whip:

There is an app or two for the HTC but it needs to be calibrated :thumbs:
ive downloaded "decibel (http://www.androlib.com/android.application.bz-bsb-decibel-jmpm.aspx)" for my HTC desire, but how do i calibrate it?

IIRC you need a calibrated DB meter to get it accurate. lol :wack:

No idea how accurate it really is, just noticed it the same DB app I downloaded :D although i still havnt got it set up :wack:. Try it and see if you think it's accurate, I'm waiting until I can put it next to one that calibrated to ensure mine is working correctly (currenly my quiet office is stating 87DB :D, I think its a little wrong)

If yer there, I'll go into more detail Sat and I will be putting up a thread when I get the chance (no net @ home is time dependent when @ work :smash:) but it was basically a lack of respect for Vade's power on my part, driving him exactly the same as I did last year (v different power then) - DOH and a quick shift from 2nd to 3rd to pass the finish line straight, then loss of traction, drift right, caught, drift left, caught, drift right into a 360 spin, out of spin, rear wheels caught grass verge which propelled me into the armco :thumbdown - booo! :rant:

oh yeah ryan i tried the meter guessed a distance and abit of an angle and it said max was 91Db... id say it was abit louder than that... though in neutral at 4.5k its got a weird tone that id say was quite quiet...

Its the balloon fiesta this weekend so the landing spot will be Hengrove park, would be cool setting to find a spot for photos with them flying low over the back ground. I've got a family day so cant make the meet even though my 180 is parked about ten minutes from Longwell Green.

Yeah - next meet it might be good if you left a little more quietly and a little less sideways. It's not big or clever and we're lucky the security people let us meet in that car park, we've been warned before about noise and over-enthusiastic driving.
