I just fitted a set of AVO lowering springs (supposedly 35mm) but the ride height hasn't changed.

The car is stiffer though and its not an adjustable setup.

Could the old springs have been very saggy or have I fitted them wrong?

New springs take a few weeks to fully settle down so I wouldn't worry about it, but if there is no improvement after a few weeks then get them replaced.

When I say JUST, I mean about a month ago. I would have thought that would have been long enough.

I hope I dont have to take them off again. Suppose I could just get a grinder in and take a bit off each spring.

(That was a joke by the way)

if you fit 35mm springs. is it safe to run with the standard shockies or do you need uprated ones too?

if u want proper handling its best to uprate the shocks

Its the actual shocks /dampening that makes the REAL difference in handling.

Good makes r

KONI's
TOMEI
TOKICO'
KYB uprated
KYB AGX's
LEDA (but I've heard a story or two about these so I aint 100%)

Remember that your old springs probably has "sank together" a bit after all years and because of that the new springs might seem to lower less then they really do.

Great explain... NOT! http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/wink.gif

Steve -> You forgot to mention Bilstein, they're probably the best shocks.
