Anyone got any info ? I've heard there's a drifting competition :D:D Is anyone going? I've just heard about this tonight so I'm hoping I can still go :)

theres a french conection show on with all the pugoets citroen ect going , looks as though its gonna be a good day with loads of displays going , theres a load of me and my mates going up.

ive heared theres a drifting ring at it aswell but that was my drunk mate saying that so i will just wait and see if its true when i get there.

mrmidgers i seen u at the crail fast car day u were giving it some stick on the skid pan , bet it was all worth it to be the waterboy only kiddin mate i seen ure face lol felt sorry for you in a way.

Hot Hatch Track Driving - 9am - 5pm (signing on from 8am)
Drag strip competition - On the main straight 5.30pm - 6.30pm - £5 with guaranteed prize of £250!
Drifting Competition - Around the Hairpin 6.30pm - 7.30pm - £5 - with guaranteed prize of £250!
Mass Track Cruise - To gridlock the track with every car on site at 7.30pm
Miss Hot Tub Competition - Attention all Girls!! - Do you want to be in the Scottish Sun? You could be the girl that promotes the next Hot Hatch Spectacular on 20th July and WIN £250 CASH! Our Hot Tub Hot Hatch Summer Stunner Competition could see the start of a modelling career. If you're up for it and want to show the lads how good you are - we've got the catwalk, the Hot Tub and the T-Shirt - you just bring a towel and the biggest cheer from the crowd wins!

It was quite a good day in all, allsorts of cars on the track all day. I doubt I'd take mine on tho as there were a lot of trackday cars that didn't seem to mind making a bit of contact with each other :eek:

The Drag racing was basically a knockout competition, 1st across the line. No tree lights and no timing equipment, just a big red light and a big green light.

The "Drifting Competition" turned out to be "right you've got 2 minutes each to impress the crowd":mad:
Why advertise as a Drifting competition if it's just - here you go , fcuk about on a wet track for a bit and we'll give the money to whoever the crowd cheers for the most.
In the end they gave it to an evoVII.
Fair play to him he could fling that car round all over the place :eek: but he went in the gravel and they said at the start you'd get disqualified for doing that:rolleyes:

ahh well maybe next time :)

i had the cam on the lowest setting so i could get more on my memory card thats how the quality aint that great.

the guy in the evo could only do the hair pin good that was about it really not sure if he deserved to win.

mrmidgers your reverse handbrake turn was about the best display of driver control of the day and where we were all standing everyone was clapping not sure if you could hear this though.

Calders supra? made a lot of noise but never pulled of anything spectacular , i think they got the compitions mixed up , i reacon he thought he was entering the comp for the loudest sounding exhast instead of the best drifts, but there you go.

drag racing was strange , did anyone notice it was a knockout event and when it got down to six cars left in it there were 2 novas, 1 shady falling apart saab 9000 that wasnt even quick ?
even though there were p1,evo,cossies ect all knocked out ?

was a good day all though, next time im gonna try get more than 3 hours sleep before i have to wake up and leave thouhg. :)
