I need a bit more camber. Ive got my topmounts in as far as they can go but still need a good bit more. Im looking for a 3-4deg but at a min i just need enough to clear my wings.

Any suggestions on what i should do to get a bit more camber?

can u not notch little holes into the turret top so u can move the allen bolts over a bit more ?

Check the adjustment on the shocks - the bolts between the coilover and the hubs have some slack in them to allow adjustment as standard so loosen the bolts and have a play around.

I put s14 lower arms on my old S13 when I did the 5 stud conversion, and that gave me loads of front camber, Im in the middle of doing the same again now with my 180sx. Might be worth a try or going for adjustable lower arms.

Likely there won't be enough clearance between wheel and coilover for any significant gains. :)

its not those little bolts that are catching, its the nut in the centre thats catching now. I thought it was those at first too.

Il give that a try and see what happens. something has changed because i used to have more camber than that. But the coil overs have been on and off and things have been fiddled with quite a bit since the last time it was aligned.

I actually have a pair sitting in the garage that ive got to stick on my other shell when ever it gets to that stage. But it might be worth sticking them on to see what i come up with. The ball joints are knackered in them though :(

i had a play with coilovers again today and still cant get the camber i need. So ive 2 new balljoints ordered so i can stick on the s14 arms. that should work hopefully

what coilovers are you using? some i.e tiens, mount to the hub 40mm further away from the shock body, giving postive camber, they do this to give more clearence for wider wheels, but using top mounts wont cure the problem totaly, you could either slot the holes in the coilovers, or go for s14 bottom arms.!

Cant you get camber bolts for where the shock mounts to the hub with like a cam lobe on them in order to draw the top of the hub in closer to the shock

How did you get on with the s14 arms? I put mine on yesterday and with my coilover top mounts on full negative as they were I now have silly camber up front, must be at least 5 or degrees! Need to get it aligned asap!

lol sounds like that should sort my problem pretty quick so :wack: Ive got the arms here but waiting on ball joints before i fit them. They should be arriving tomorrow so il stick them on and see how they look.

yep there teins, camber wasnt always an issue them but after everything was aligned fully it became one.

I finally got the s14 arms on, getting the balljoints out was right pain in the arse!

I knew that they would knock out the alignment a bit when i fitted them but i didnt think it would be this bad :wack:

the steering angle is all over the place too. The bump stops are different on the 14 arms and now my tie rods are catching on it. That wasnt an issue before but with the way things are aligned at the min anything is possable.

Dude, the arms are 10mm longer each side, of course you're going to have to get your tracking reset after fitting them :wack:

Yep threw my toe well out also, had to readjust it by eye until I got it aligned on wednesday, even with the topmounts on the least camber it was still 2 degrees, on full negative it was 5 degrees!
