View Full Version : Need a cheap freezer locally, anyone got one going?
Anyone local got a freezer going, preferably a chest freezer?
Really need to swap my dogs to eating meats, and want to order in bulk frozen meat from TPMS, so need some storage you see, but don’t need anything pristine as such.
Asking in here before putting up a wanted add.
Got a small one locally for free :-)
Pretty sure Channie has a friend ;)

Missed this Matt :(
I've got a freezer guy  They are pretty big most of the time though

Meat in bulk you say?! Where?! How much cheaper is it?
I eat tons of meat and really should buy in bulk!
EDIT: Just looked at that TPMS place and it's a pet place! LOL
On another note, what are you going to be feeding your dogs? Ours gets a lot of meat as it is (human grade,) but if it can be bought cheaper then he could have even more! lol

That's OK chap, I hadn't considered you lol. What have you got anyway, as I've no idea how reliable this one will be?

I have 2 inuits and 1 wolfdog (CSV/SWD Inuit Cross).

Yup, TPMS is really cheap. I think at present 30 454g bags of tripe cost about £10 ! (that's VERY cheap). Just need to order over £40 (or a certain weight) for them to deliver.
But basically, we are doing this as our dogs are loosing interest in dry food and two of them are not really putting on weight like they should, so swapping to something that is better for them, and at least they will enjoy it.
Havent been to see him for ages, usually deals with industrial stuff rather than house clearance, but something chest size would be ideal
Give me a shout if it fails or falls through and I'll give him a shout

Cool!
Do you just ring them up and make an order?
How long would 40 quids worth last a Border Collie?
About two months lol.
I haven't ordered yet, so you might need to check they can deliver to you. I will be in a few mins as others I know use them :-)
For two large dogs (wolf dogs), the order was going to be 30 Green Tripe, 15 Best Mince and 15 lamb mince, 1 bag gluten free dry dog food, plus delivery came to around £44 I believe.
My actual order will be 45 tripe, 23 best mince, 23 lamb mince and one bag of gluten free. You will need to adjust your order accordingly (so prob 15, 7, 7 I would suspect), and feed half a pack in the morning, and half at night, with a bit of dry food :-)
Dog poo will be less, and should degrade more easily than with just dry food as well :-)

Ta
And gutted. They only deliver as far as Taunton. Well that's royally f**ked things up.
BTW.. sent 'landywoods' an order instead :-) Pretty much the same prices.

Cool, cheers mate! Couldn't you have just organized your own pickup/delivery with Parcels 2 Go?
Br careful with meat if the dogs are deep chested  Do some reading up on bloat
Yep, Melissa is an ex-vet technician so well aware of it. we dont normally let them drink immediately after meals for example.
LMAO at the parcel2go comment and frozen goods :wack:
