How far can you read a number plate from.

And would you be able to read a car number plate from the same distance if it was travelling past you at 97mph.

One guess what I'm working on.

Well, that should be easy enough to check. Just drive past a parked car at 97mph, or is that how this all started? :(

Never really thought of this before, but I can see an old style number plate at well over 50metres (looking across works car park from here).
I'm struggling with the new ones though. Ms become Ws and Ks become Xs etc.

if you have no noumber plate then there is no number plate to see. you could always just take it off? or have you already gone by one at 97mph?
