Whats on offer?

We have a load of Apex intercoolers in stock and more on their way so can do a group buy on them.

The wing mounted cooler is good for 300bhp and is a direct replacement for the original. It comes complete with new stainless intake and outlet pipes so is great if youve cracked an original pipe or are not intending to run more than stange 1 power.

The Type 2 kit requires no chopping of cutting and is a true bolt on kit proven to be capable of supporting upto 400bhp.

The Type 1 coolers use a 600x280x76mm core and we have been building our kits round these cores for years now. They work very well and we have had 200SXs running a proven 500bhp on them.

We have seen numerous issues with kits from other manufacturers including multiple failures of the silicon hoses of kits supplied by Greddy. Our kits are all car specific, we dont use a universal cores then supply various bracketry and bodgery to make them fit a certain vehicle. All our cores come out of the factory designed to bolt onto the specific application.

Smaller washer bottle to go with Type 1 intercoolers, £24.50. The non touring S14 (no side skirts, no headlight washers and cloth interior) has a small washer bottle and the S14 kit comes with brackets to relocate this bottle to allow pipe work past. However the touring verion has a much bigger washer bottle with additional pump to feed the headlight washers that will need some messing about with to fit with the pipework. Or you can buy this smaller washer bottle instead :)

When does the buy end?

The group buy ends when the cooler arrive. Its a case of first come first served, numbers of kits are limited to an extent so if we sell out before you've ordered then we sell out.

How and when do I pay?

Payment is due one week before the shipment arrives. We will NOT be contacting customers up front to make you aware of payment being taken unless specifically asked otherwise. An order is NOT considered confirmed until we have all your details including payment info. You will only be allocated a kit when youre classed as confirmed.

Theyll be delivered when we hit the required numbers :nod: Bear in mind that we do have stock but nothing from stock will be reserved for the GB itself as we still have to process and deal with day to day sales for the products at full value. The sooner we get to 16 the sooner we can dispatch from stock. If we run out of stock either fulfilling retail orders whilst the GB gathers pace or sell out before total GB demand is fulfilled then we will have to wait for the next sea shipment to fulful remaining orders.

The orders will be processed on a first come first served basis, first come being the people who contact us with payment info first, not who put their name on here first. If you are in a rush then give us a shout with all your info. We wont take payment or allocate the product until we hit the required numbers but youll be on the top of the list when we do start to process the orders.

The cold pipe kti is really designed to complete the Type 2 kit which includes the pipe you are reffering to. We dont do that pipe to go with the WMIC set up Im afraid.

The hot pipe is a direct replacement for the original so if you are using the original with your top mount then you can use our replacement one :)

could you not fab something up for the s13 from just the original elephant trunk? maybe get some 3" pipe and bend it then weld on a small pipe for the cam breather. im hoping my local garage have some knowldege and will fab something up cheap. but if your gonna be making something i might hold out as your qualit will be 10x better than mine.

I think you would easily shift 50 S13 intake pipes. I would definitely have one. Not really bothered about the hot pipe.

What's the difference between this kit and the group buy kit?

The one above is the sort of thing youll find other traders selling. Generic cores, basic fitting kit etc.

The proper Apex ones are all car specific, every part made for the vehicle.

The actual performance is identical, the actual cores are the same size and same quality.

There isnt sufficient demand to justify a batch of the proper 180SX Apex ones being manufactured.

Done. Sorry if I sounded rude, I just forget that people dont necessarly know how we operate at Apex.

We are a reasonably sized operation turning over millions rather than thousands. We carry not far off a million in stock and have 8 members of staff. I onyl do what I do and that doesnt include anything to do with orders, order processing, ordering, booking goods in, packing, shipping, dispatch etc etc.

Hence why you need to speak to the relevent person, which isnt me. Id love to be able to look into everys specific order quioeries myself but I dont get my work done as it is.

Being on the SXOC certainly isnt a productive use of my time and I should come on here at all but I cant keep away, been here too long now :rolleyes:

Just to say fitted mine using the above instructions and although was a little longer than i expected 4hrs in total im happy with it now the installation wasnt too bad had a few bolts snap on me but thats expected mines all in an working so thanks guys for doin this group buy :)

So what would I get in the type 1 kit if your selling the hot and intake pipes seperate?

Would I just get the intercooler and a few pipes which would fit to oem rubber hoses?

fruit, you only need the kit mate. s14a/s15 are the same. the hotpipe is exactly the same as standard apart from being chromed, and the intake replaces the elephants trunk so both are a matter of whether you want bling or not :). running high boost can suck the walls of the standard trunk in, plus it sounds nicer with the metal one but its not an essential. these kits are easy to fit mate...

Youre a bit screwed with that. You need a 180SX kit but with an odd cold pipe. Maybe an s13 cold pipe. we have complete 180SX kits in stock. Theyre not Apex kits but are the same sort of thing other trades on here sell and are only £199.

I also have S13 cold pipes at £30. However the intercooler pipes are aluminium and the cold pipe will be stainless.

The actual core size of the 180SX kit will be the same as the S14 one, its the end tank design and the brackets that are dfferent.

Youll be spending a lot of time making the S14 hot side pipework fit a 180SX, there arent many similarities.

Yeah I know. The VVT black top throttle body is horizontal, the intake on the non VVT is at 45 degrees.

The rest of the kit should be 180SX, its only the final cold pipe that needs to be different to accomodate the horizontal position of the throttle body :)

The S14 hotside pipework and core bracket positions will be wrong for the 180SX chassis.

Do you mean the hot pipe, cold pipes etc or are you wanting the pipework to mount the wmic ?

If you are wanting the pipework for the wmic, we don't sell these seperately as they have been specifically designed to fit our wmic's.

This is not a problem, they will all fit but you will have one original pipe running from the cold pipe to the wmic as the cold pipe kit only replaces the black plastic pipe that runs along the slam panel.
