Just wondering if im right in my thinking here.
In the pic below,if i undo the 4 bolts,i should be able to separate the hub/bearing assembly from the actual knuckle if i press at the area with the red circle??This way i can put the 5 stud hub onto the 180 knuckle therefore avoid having to change the balljoints??

Am i right??

Pic taken is just off google, not my hub,as it looks like a skyline one iirc.

Also is it both the front and rear lower arm balljoints that differ betwween the S13 and S14?? or is it just the front, sound:thumbs:

Should work, I done it with a pair of GTR uprights and 4 stud hubs.

correct

a bigish sized socket and a heavy hammer will sepreate them

as far as i believe both ball joints are different.

as i tried a S14 ball joint in the rear of the 180 and it wouldnt fit the carrier

keep the orignial carrier of the 180 and just replace the hub bearing assy

Loosen the bolts a few turns, smack on those in turn with a big hammer and repeat.

the way i did it was loosen off the 4 bolts on the back about half way and give them a wack with a hammer and it will slowly come out, but i did it while it was still on the car so might be a bit easier for u.

if your just changing to 5 stud bearing then you wont need to change anything else like change ball joints.
