View Full Version : Winners!
We gave out a number of awards at the Weekender and I thought it might be worth listing them off:
Best S Body - 1st Ken (LS2 S14), 2nd S15AK (S15 with white wheels), 3rd nash's (Red S14a carbon bonnet/carbon boot)
Best S Body Exterior - GaryP (Black S14a)
Best non S body - Si (White FD RX7)
Members choice - Japmadlad (Pug 406) - dont ask :D
Chairmans choice - Matty2Fatty (White S13, black rims)
Hard charger award - AP2 (Black S14a on CR Kai's) although mentions go to Madda and Cluck
Best rims - Dunkz (Two tone S13 with Panasports)
Driving Miss Daisy Award - Stuffing (PDH was excluding as being too obvious) - whilst most people with a relatively low ratioed gearbox where debating whether to take the first left hander flat in 3rd, Stuffing in his 306 GTi6 was still deciding whether to come out of 2nd :D
Most Drunk/Idiot Award - Joematose (passed out, got teabagged repeatedly, got cocks drawn all over him, cabled tied to a chair then woke up to throw up and couldnt figure out why he couldnt move)
Three awards for outstanding achievement - Algie, Chris and John Bennett for the vast amount of effort they have put in, and continue to put in making this club what it is :notworthy
Well done guys! :sxoc:
Tried my hardest for the Miss daisy award too! :D

Believe me, the passenger rides I got made me feel like I was going to get the DMD award
The other awards are more than well deserved, especially the outstanding achievement ones :notworthy :notworthy. No surprise at the member's choice though - I think a lot of people were 'tactical voting for a laugh' :D. I wanted the car 3 down from me to win (can't remember what it was but it was in much the same vein as the winner :D)

I did every run in 2nd gear and still managing 55sec-58sec runs. admittedly it was near the rev limiter, but not needing to change down I think kept the car balanced and speeded things up in the long run.
was really shocked my car got 3rd best s body, considering the amount of nice cars there. didnt even realise the awards were going on hence why i was over at the tuck shop at the time:rolleyes:
thanks again :sxoc: and well done to all the others:)

To us people who're used to the flatness of East Anglia, it's a mountain!
I think the right choice was made
Definitely, she was a fine yoke! All the looks of an S14a combined with the practicality of a saloon

Thanks for making my car 2nd choice, very shocked. I didn't know there was going to be any awards (first time I've been to a weekender), so sorry I didn't stick around, but I had to get my little lad back home before 5pm.
Nice to know my car is going in the right direction, as its far from perfect. I always seem to look/think about all the bad points on the car, so good to know its not that bad after all :)
