Alloy repair!

Is there anywhere in the area that can get a flat spot / dent out of an alloy wheel?

Tried the local tyre places and a body shop and they said they'd give it a go with a hammer but I wasn't inspried with confidence.

Found a place that will send it away but would rather find someone who could take a look and say "Yes" or "No" to the possibility of sorting it and give me a price, rather than "I'll bash it for a tenner but it might split" or " we'll send it away for assessment but that'll cost you for postage before they decide they can't do it and charge you for returning it".

Bridge tyres in taunton (thinking about it their may be one in bridgwater also) do alloy repairs.. They may well send them away to be done but it's worth a phone call :)

Heard about a good guy in Bridgewater like Chris suggested, apparently he does everything from repair to powder coating. I'll try and get you some details.

arry - looked up lepsons but the closest is up in Swindon and don't get much time to travel - but thanks anyway.

Chriscooke - looked up bridge tyres (and yes they do have a place in Bridgwater) and they send wheels away to Pristine (same as the local guys here)

They look pretty competative from what I can tell, if only they weren't so far away (working odd hours means travelling can be difficult).

Might have to give them a bell as they do a collection service and see what they can do.:thumbs:

Alloy Wheel Refurbishment Somerset & Surrounding Areas.

In response to requests from customers in the Somerset areas we are pleased to announce that we will soon be able to offer a collection and delivery service twice a week, using our own vans, to Taunton, Bridgwater and Wellington, Somerset.

Found this on their website, so yeah as you say it would be worth calling them, Take a before and after pic for the forum please as we could it would be worth knowing if they are any good. :thumbs:
