Just wondering what kind of local dishes you guys got over there, been watching the food channel on TV and seen a bunch of good stuff from Europe.

We got:

Chicken Fried Steak
Fried Chicken
Fried Okra
Fajitas
Breakfast Tacos
BBQ (sausage, briskit, chicken, pork ribs, beef ribs, turkey)
Chili

and probably some other things I can't think of at the moment.

If you want I could look around for some recipes on how to make these. Cause they are alllll good.

How to make Chicken Fried Steak (It's a thin steak, breaded and deep fried in an iron skillet)

Score originality points by cooking it in an old old iron skillet like my mom and grandmother do.

Umm... you asked for it. I'll get that recipe from my uncle. A man who has eaten 12 habanero peppers in one sitting and only then began to sweat.

His salsa doubles as paint remover.

I suppose so, he has been eating peppers since before my age. I suppose he has built a tolerance to them.

iHOP is good, but its even the everyday stuff we have over here thats better in the states KFC being the main one thats quite different, although no fries?
Everything except coca-cola, the coke from the us tastes like diet or justy not sweet enough.

I'll get a recipe from my uncle when he gets off work, that is if he answers his phone.

KFC is horrible. What you guys need is some Popeye's spicy chicken.

Taco Hell is horrible as well. You need to upgrade to Taco Cabana.

:)

I wouldn't worry bout Vez freak, he's a Northerner and therefor capable of eating molten lava without showing too much discomfort, hehe, remember going to HK with the missus and some of her mates tried to make me cry with some sort of chilli sauce, they just couldn't understand the way I could eat it :D, honestly, they were wincing watching me dip these fishy sausage things right in it then scoff

Taco bell is coming for lunch.

There is much better fast food mexican but taco bell is on the base.
