View Full Version : Reliant - Nissan
Just looking though one of my used car guides and spot that Reliant used Nissan turbo engines in their Scimitar SSi and SST and Sabre cars:)
Its the 1809cc turbo, but must be the old 8 valve as power is quoted as 135bhp.
0=60 of 6.5 secs, and top speed of 126mph.
Were they not the wedge shape things fromthe late 80's ???
Dai
I think there's a bloke on the board with one ScimmyUk or something like that

yep had the CA18ET in it.
Front wheel drive as well
More scrabbly than my lovely "Orion Ghia 1.6i temp replacement for my sick S13" :( :D :D
Erm, no.
Rear drive and featherlight.
Sideways as you wish.
The Scimitar GTE was the mutts nutts, my father had 2 of them. 3 litre rear wheel drive mean machine. More grunt than ms SAnchez tennis player and an arse just as big!
My brother and I hated them at the time as they leaked into a little pool on the back seats and about as much leg room as the 2 *****.
