I'm just about to fit my rear axle with my new polybushes fitted but was supplied with 4 huge washers do these go above the subframe or is it subframe first then huge washer? The washer seems a snug fit if fitted first.Any local lads got pics please!

pretty sure they go between subframe and the nut bud, (maybe ditching the original ones??) not 100% as ive not used them but seems logical to me

The stud end of the subframe mount is thinner than the top so I assumed as the washer seemed to fit so well round the top that this is where they should go.I could really do with some definitive answers please chaps.
Put the subframe on, then washer, then nut. It's to hold the subframe tight against the floor. Stops any chance of the bolt coming through the bush as well.
On mine I had to grind a small bit off for clearance, about 2mm.
Not sure if it's the same on yours, but the holes in the washer are only big enough to go on the ends anyway, so could not go on before the subby.

my washers fit lovely & snug all the way to the top which is why I thought they may go on first!

they defo go after the subframe, thats what washers are designed for so use them for there purpose.
If you put them on before the subframe then it'd mean you'd be tightening up the nuts onto the poly then it'll get churnned up as the nuts screw rounds ;)

second that... just doesnt make sence... like he said if you dont use a washer the nuts will just disapear into the poly bush...
Defenatly after the subby!
