Wonder if anyone can help, right drove the car home earlier all fine nothing wrong got 5 minutes away from the house and shes started shaking and jumping between gears slightly, nothing violently as of yet but I am not driving her to work when shes like this.
She idles completely out of place, revometer goes up slightly from 0800 - 1000 which is fairly normal BUT the way it does it is wrong she will rise n then fall quite alot more than normal sometimes exceeding 1000 and she REALLY doesnt feel normal I have no idea what the problem can be but when I drive her it feels like im driving with a flat tyre slightly...
Please can anyone offer help or any advice, I dont really want to drive her far to be looked at as im worried shell just conk out, oil is 3/4 full will topup tomorrow she has irridiums sparks and 55k miles turbo seems to pull fine and she drives ok losing a bit of power now noticeably but that could be down to the gear change, shes still quick but sometimes doesnt drop a gear here and there, Doesnt feel like its auto box as... but I wouldnt know any advice where I can take her if you have no ideas please? Nightmare as I need to get her sorted got a few bills going out before I can treat her to the work I had planned.... This is just going to delay things : /  :annoyed:

Sounds like a misfire - would be worth finding someone local with a set of coil packs so you cna swap them out to see if that improves things. I've got a couple of sets but i'm in Swansea.

Well I can be about Wednesday night (out for my father-in-law's birthday Thursday night) but it will mean you need to be coming up to me in Swansea.

Your other option is to pop and see Buffy - he is very knowledgable and will probably know what the problem is before you've pulled up in the car park!

lol well its likely to be wednesday but could be tomorrow but I hope it doesnt cost me an arm and leg to fix as I was hoping to do the things to the car further down the line.

I just hope its the coil pack :>

Edit - Just saw S14's have 4 coil packs and the cheapest ive seen 1 new is 73 quid!

Don't be buying new ones:no: as you don't know for sure its them.

Find someone with some spare ones, and do abit of trail and error swaping them. To determine if its them first.

And you'll find a set of 4 2nd hand set for alot less than 70 bucks:thumbs:

Ah thats a little bit more reassuring Gav lol thanks, taking it to local garage to see if they can assess the problem then quote up there, then take it to buffy see if he thinks its the same and see what buffy wants think thats all I can do for now, I would like to avoid the long drive to blackwood if possible but buffys only one that will be able to sort it without fail me thinks :o

Speak to Buffy he can supply the pipework for a bit extra - he'll need some notice though as he'll have to get them in ready.

200 fella for everything and ive already booked it in and it would be cheeky to cancel with him as he looked it for like 30 minutes for nothing and did me a right favour to see me straight away.
Got a manual conversion upcoming now ive changed to monthly payments tho, my plan is to have it either late august or on my 22nd in september, Buffy offered 200 for the labour if i find the kit myself which is fab price
