Time for another exeter area meet??

After the sucess and the cracking food of the last one I was thinking it was about time for another :)

How does next monday (28th June) at the Swans nest in Exminster at around 7:30 - 8pm sound unless anyone has a better suggestion?

About time we had a meet and there seems to a few keen on the idea, infact about time I had a BBQ at mine really, have said I was going to for at least a year now :rolleyes: :) I'll actually have a 200 at a meet then :sxoc: :wack: (albeit on axle stands :D)

Maybe in a couple of weeks time on a Sunday? Anyone up for that?

We could go up mansells for a sxoc karting session before the BBQ seeing as it's right on my doorstep. I noticed that the Cornwall crustys are having a go kart meet but it's miles away :(

Lol! Don't think I'll be able to keep up mate! Its like a labrador trying to keep up with a couple of greyhounds :wack: I need either a faster kart to compensate or a head start :D Although spinning 4 times in 1 lap didn't help matters. Nor did being distracted by the parachutists (I want a go on that!!!)

Although if other bigger chaps come along, I would be able to keep up with them methinks ;)

Can do one at mine anytime the weathers good. Got the garage (and a selection of chairs!) to hide in if it turns not good too ;) Whenever people want is fine with me (after checking with Her Ladyship of course :wack:)

Well, when we went up to Bristol for a charity kart race, the bigger boned of us struggled something chronic! We were passed on straights, passed pulling out of corners and passed up the hill, it was infuriating!

I do know what you mean my misses is bloody quick up there and hard to pass as she's as light as a bag of crisps, best tactic is to just do a almighty dive up the inside and scare her :wack:

Its taking part that counts, it only costs a tenner for 10min and you can choose how many 10min sessions you want on the day they are quite flexable like that :nod: Usually we have 1 session to get times and then they let us line up on the grid for a 10 min race with the fastest at the back which makes the first 2 corners rather interesting :wack:

That works - I can vouch for that :thumbs: Loved it when she looked at the karts and asked for a booster seat and pedal extensions :wack: You're right though - she needs ballast in the kart as she caught me up on the straights but I think it might have been me that pushed her into a spin at one point (sorry Jo :o it wasn't deliberate!!)

Weight makes no difference what so ever.

light = fast acceleration but less grip in corners
Heavy = slower acceleration but more grip in the corners
Mid weight = Somewhere in the middle

I know this because i worked at a kart centre and my boss was 18 stone and he was damn quick.

Will do my best to pop up for a :wave: Might be a no-go though due to baby - he's mega-grouchy at the moment. It wasn't conjunctive to an amazing Sunday - missed most of the grand prix due to looking after him but when he was not grouchy, he was a joy to be around and play with!
