Right went to see it on Friday evening, really liked it! :D

Yes, was some daft bits, but if you walk into it open minded and dont expect it to be a documentary on the cruising world, you'll like it. Few nice women in it, lots of nice cars, plenty of action.

Will deffo be buying it when it comes out, may even go see it again...........

Your thoughts pls....

The street racing was wicked but Smiffad I must disagree with you on this one. They didnt show enough of the cars and there was too many ancient american muscle cars for my liking.

The storyline was too heavily into the drug smuggling and not the racing.

Oh and Vin Diesel wasnt in it so not much eye candy for the girls this time round.... There we go thats my rant done.

Apart from that it was good.....

Agree with 206xy - street racing was brilliant, but that Skyline was supposedly 500-600bhp, yet they showed barely none of it!!!  They concentrated on the storyline this time, and once again failed with a dire attempt as an interesting !typical" street racing scenario. Ont he woman front, oooohhh, niceilike :D :D

But yeah, you cant have a Skyline, Supra, Evo and an RX7 in a film and barely show the cars in their true glory. Of the street racing there was, it was brilliant, 10/10, but needed more....

it was awful. the race at the start was good. the script and plot was appauling.

and despite these testosterone filled men trying to act really hard, they kept coming up with rather dodgy phrases:
"I got something for your ass."
"We gotta pull something outta our ass."
"You've got balls kid. I admire them."

Was rather amusing, bit like that travelocity advert with the air stewards. :D

I got it free from the internet, and it didn't seem that bad, if you ignore the many glaring technical errors. Mind you, I loved the Matrix reloaded and that was also full of them.

yea i enjoyed it, if you take it for what it is..... 2 hours of fast paced car racing, with some tasty ladiees thrown in for good measure. Good stuff.
i must admit to cringing every time the gas was used, and the boost went up a bar:confused:

worth a watch me thinks.

come on, dont look at it to seriously!its just blatant entertainment!!!it really is like a new skool makeover of smokey and the bandit/dukes of hazzard. It actually made me chuckle with some of the banter between tyrese(roman pearce) and paul walker(brian the cardboard cut out), ITS JUST ENTERTAINMENT and it worked - i enjoyed it! And the script wasnt as horrifically disjointed as the first film either. I was a bit worried at the start tho with the skyline puffing out white-smoke which was supposed to be impressive and i just ended up laffing at, and the suki character giving it the usual token female in a male orientated film bollox. There was a little too much focus on american 'muscle' cars at the end(ie loadsa bhp, but cant go round corners)which was also a criticism, but i look at it as director Mike Singletons homage to the Dukes of Hazzard in the final sequence when the car ram raids the boat!!!!

the shots in the races whereby it looks like the car is in lightspeed and a massive amount of g-force is being applied to the drivers face also made me cringe painfully

The skyline puffing out white smoke was ment to be him purging the nitrous, drag racers have a purge valve which lets out a blast of n2o to clear the line of any air pockets so when you fire the nitrous its pure nitrousO your adding.
Thing that got me was him purging it into the crowd from the side of the car? and then proceeding to park it???

Ah hollywood dont you just love them.

Almost as good as the charger smokin the tyres while doing a wheelstand in the first movie.

I thought the film was cheesy. The end was good, that was it. I wouldn't waste money on buying it :)

I quite enjoyed it, liked the skyline purging the nitrous, but should have only done it once, maybe twice, but they took the piss. it was a nice touch that you would only understand if you are in to drag racing;) it needed a WHOLE lot more of the skyline and not that gay looking evo and eclipse(did they do a deal with mitsubishi or something??)
overall storyline was better but it wasn`t car orientated enough,

definite deal with mitsubishi me thinx, but theres been a lot of rumours on the net that the producers of the film turned down a huge wad of cash to use primarily one manufacturers car.....rumoured to be ford....

It IS America, thats what I hated about the first one, loads of jap cars is fair enough thats what most young americans are into, but you go to any american town and find the street racers you can bet there will be a shit load of camaros, mustangs, corvettes etc.

Nope, it was the new Dodge Neon SVRTXTYFYBA or something, 4 wheel drive turbo motor IIRC

EDIT: Dodge Neon SRT-4 :) http://www.allpar.com/neon/neon-srt-4.html

It was entertaining, as long as you saw it for what it was, and not what it was trying to be ;)

And that R34 was gorgeous, why did they get rid of it so quickly

Good movie, but i prefered the first one.
They didn't show enough of the cars here and yes they were sponsored by mitsubishi.

The eclipse is kinda slow btw, it only has 210 hp and does like 7sec to 100 (km/h) and the evo is a standard 280 hp.

The skyline was very nice though. I hoped it would be the leading car in the movie :(

the skyline should have had the leading role in the film.....but money talks doesnt it??
