Hi All,
Watch your speed at the moment - there's been loads of Camera vans out round South Oxfordshire (Benson, Shillingford etc), and also round Bucks (Marlow etc) - it seems they are having a bit of a crackdown on speeding in 30/40 limits.. I've also seen quite a few people pulled by unmarked cars..

Yeah they keep on putting them up by the yard aswell mate. Hiding them behind the corner :nod:.
There also sit near the BP garage if you're coming from Madejski Stadium towards town (if you're coming past Kennet Island) .. it's a long straight dual carriageway so easy for your speed to creep up.. rememmber it's only a 40mph limit round there.
Think there will be more and more as the weather is getting better.. as it's prime season for people to be having a nice drive about in the sun.. plus the usual trying trying to catch drink drivers etc..

There were 4 old bill cars pulling people over at random into the layby on London Road in Wycombe this morning...
Looked like they were doing random vehicle checks
Guess numbers must be down for the month!
Wouldn't be surprised if they start doing more of the Vosa checks as well :nod:

I've never noticed them there before until a few weeks ago, but then I only really used to go past there once a month for Reading Meet. Got a mate that lives round there now, so I probably go past that way 2 or 3 times a week.

They used to be down there all the time at rush hour as most people bez down there well over 40mph...

I've seen them on the Kennet Island / Morrisons side but never by BP.
People do drive down there way over the limit though as you say :nod:

Yeah - went through by RAF Benson the other day, saw the van, realised I was about 2-3mph over :( Hopefully it'll come to nothing though...

Dude you'd be fine, ive done more past cops and never got anything.
Theres defo a big sturge going on, its the same here in Essex, especially Thurrock area. Saw van yesturday with dweebs on the bridges ready to nab you, and then again on the way home at dartford crossing. Uncover bike cop there too!
I had to go on a speed awareness course last year for doing 33.. :annoyed:

Thurrock is full of chavs though.. I'd expect them to be round there in force all the time!

That sounds massively unlucky! 3 mph over ffs. If they're going to be like that everyone needs to stare at their speedo for 90% of the time. A change in gradient could cause that much increase.
Ive got a 82mph ticket on the way, dont think I cant argue with that one to be honest. lol
Id happily go on a speed awareness course to avoid the points! :nod:
I think by the time speedo error is factored in I'll be OK, but it's annoying nonetheless...
We have a camera van in our village sometimes at rush hours (parked right next to the gatso that's always empty) as people come through at 35-40 as it's a 30 in between a 60 and a 50 limit... But, they are never bloody there late at night when you get fcuking idiots coming through at 90 or 100mph :(
I havnt seen anything like this for years in Southampton, if they set up a few of these on 2 roads during both rush hours, they'd make a small fortune, probably enough to pay of the defficit LOL
