This race has shades of the previous couple of seasons where Hamilton has pulled a blinder but been let down by his team mate in terms of helping him fight at the front.

On a slight side-note - Lee McKenzie's boobie are fantastic , lucky Rubens .

Back on topic, there is definitely a possibility for carnage at the 1st corner, am thinking at least 1 safety car today, maybe more

13-06-2010, 17:10
Well Webber has just done him, so it is possible. Schumi has done the Force India :), lovely stuff.

Lol, they may as well pull all the drivers in front of Emerson for a chat, lol. Excellent race indeed, settling down a bit now but still some good racing going on, has flown by .

Let's just hope the 2nd half is just as exciting :)

Infinity
13-06-2010, 17:58
It'll be an interesting second half as tyres aren't wearing that great - Webber on the softs for his last stint is not ideal

Belter of a race..utter belter

Lots going on, not least Shumi's ice rink car and dodgy position keeping, Massa having a scrap with everything, Kubica and that mental move

Easily the best race of the season. Cracking stuff all the way through... Schumacher thought he was at the fair on the dodgems :wack:

both force indias stickin a move on schumi in the last lap was a beaut, the dirty fcuker had been cuttin chicanes and moveing across late all afternoon.

smashing race this one, top drive by the Mclarens, and was great fun watching Schumi trying to bump everyone...:D

13-06-2010, 18:54
To be absolutely fair to shumi, do you honestly think if it was hami or alonso in that very poor handling merc... do you think they wouldn't be pulling out all the w@nk moves in the world to stop much faster cars going past?

No ... they would be just as dirty feckers :D
Still shumi got himself into that mess with that incident with the Renault early on, if it wasnt for that he could have had a great race.

After this race i unfortunately have to agree also :(, wasnt his finest hour at all .

I did like Martin's description of Schumi's car in that Liuzzi had to treat it 'like the back of a donkey' :D

Really enjoyed that race as there were challenges throughout the field .

Now got the footie on and see if the Germans can be stuffed.

the 1st few races this season weve seen him defending his position with class and skill, today he seemed to lose the plot! ive never been a fan but until today i was glad he was back in the sport

In fact it appears that shumi was on the option tyre for 36 laps  those things were **** after 5 so wtf was he doing on them for 36????

A very strange weekend for Schumacher... :annoyed:

This is what i was thinking, especially when he started on the harder tyre, then pitted and put the hard tyre on again, and then about 10 laps later pitted yet again for the soft tyre and stayed on them.

Very strange tactical call there which i really didnt understand as he was running in a strong position

What this race has also shown is that the old unmolested tracks produce fantastic racing :)

His was car was handling badly at the end because his tyres were fcuked. His behaviour on track was dreadful

Sideways14a

Well Shumi has walked away with no reprimand however Kubica and Alguersuari were.
Now the Shumi - Kubica thing i recon (after having watched a replay and stills) was a 50/50, both were a bit ****.
But I dont know how shumi got away with Massa :wack:

Chriscooke
14-06-2010, 00:21
I think that the schumi massa incident could be blamed on the tires. Ferrari were saying that schumi break tested massa but (and a big but:wack:) Schumacher had no grip so had to break early which caught massa out.

Pete C
14-06-2010, 09:13
But I dont know how shumi got away with Massa :wack:

Having seen it from a few different angles on the F1 Forum after the race I think I'm inclined to believe that it really was a case of him braking a lot earlier than Massa expected, the in car view from the Ferrari bears this out.

Wheras from the camera view we all saw it from initially it actually looks like Schumacher moved over into Massa's front wing, what actually happened is that Schumacher was fully in front, and when he braked Massa simply ran into his rear wheel.

The Kubica thing was naughty though, as was some of the argy bargy with the Force Indias near the end :smash:

Hamilton FTMFW! :D

Grim
14-06-2010, 09:46
did they actually show the FI and Shoey at the end?

was interesting chatting with the Brigdestone Koyyshanykani San afte the race "thank's for bringing crap tyres, made a great race!"

schumi84
14-06-2010, 13:20
Just read that Schumi had a puncture which caused him to have to stop again - happened during the Kubica incident :(

They took a gamble on the softer tyres lasting the rest of the race and it didnt pay off, shame as he was looking very racey before that (and yes, got very close to the line, maybe hovering just over it at times)

Simon
14-06-2010, 14:45
Fantastic race where there was no real idea of what was going to happen with the tyre degredation. It all contributed to a vrey good race. They should bring shite tyres to all the races now!!!

"With the exception of the parts necessary for the driver adjustable bodywork, any car system, device or procedure which uses driver movement as a means of altering the aerodynamic characteristics of the car is prohibited from 2011 "

You know if you were a total pedant... and im sure many of you are... that could be read as a ban on steering and brakes :).
