At long last I was able to get the car MoT'd today resulting in a fail (NS headlight aim too low), adjusted resulting in a Pass together with a couple of advisories - slight weep from the joint of the new fuel line and OS rear brake flexible too near suspension arm - both easily fixed. Also an advisory on the steering column lower bush - the only one I did not change. :annoyed:

The dilemma now is to do with taxing it. Online will not work due to being SORNed, which runs out on the 26th and the MoT dated today which means there is no MoT in force for the start of this month (May) so best to tax it from beginning of June. However, that means that I will need to SORN it from 26th to 31st May. DVLA don't make life easy, do they.

So, I think I will wait until June which means delaying the wheel alignment 'til next month.

Does it have a current MoT? The website will only allow you to tax online if there is an MoT in force for the beginning of the month i.e. May. If not, you could try your local Post Office. Have a look here: -

http://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/application?origin=vnav_bar.jsp&event=bea.portal.framework.internal.refresh&pageid=Apply+for+a+tax+disc+NOW

Apart from that, I do not know. I'm going to wait until the end of the month. Been without the car for the last two years so another couple of weeks won't hurt.:wack:
