When people are estimating power at the fly, what percentage are you using for transmission loss? I've seen some very different figures. (I know there are many factors, including the gear box, clutch and even the wheels - unless you did a RR at the hubs with Abbey!) I would have thought something like 20% for a RWD car was a reasonable figure though ... comments?
(My rolling road day has made me go forum post crazy with any imagineable RR related thread imagineable :wack: )
I get 27% losses, I think mainly due to the autobox, but it's hard to get accurate figures with the auto
Why is that, i still don't know.

You need to be able to hold the auto box in d3 ( overdrive button to off ) to get accurate figures and you can do this on quite a few cars, but not on ours unfortunately, below about 4500rpm the box will kick down to d2
I though thats what unplugging the gas pedal connector does?

Never thought of that, may well work
Thats what gary did on mine when it was on the RR.

will try that next time:) if I haven't done the conversion by then

Oooo, you're converting to manual, good man  :notworthy
Now, we just need to get all the rest of the auto drivers to see the light :D

Doing the conversion only in the pursuit of more power, actually love driving auto's though
