This looks like it could be amazing  I remember hearing about it ages ago but I've just seen the final trailer and I'm well impressed. Christopher Nolan is right up there at the moment, I loved the Batman films and I'm looking forward to seeing this. For anyone that doesn't know, it's about professional thieves who enter dreams in order to steal ideas straight out of victim's heads - a little hint of The Matrix here and there.

Went to see Inception at the cinema this evening,

It's brilliant, well up to expectation and beyond tbh.:thumbs:

Loads going on, nice complicated story line but not so much as to detract from watching it.

Nice open ending too

Sadly there was a fair few in the cinema who couldn't wrap their heads round it and got bored, loads of noise and people chatting during the film  :annoyed:

Yeah saw this tonight (well last night now) and wasn't disappointed.
Awesome movie, which boggles the mind and provoked a lot of chat and beard stroking afterward.
Without giving anything away, the storyline is sometimes confusing with the fast pacing of the movie unforgiving in allowing your mind to catch up with what's happening on screen. However, before you can become annoyed at this, another great set piece explodes in front of you and distracts you totally, leaving you at the end with a fair idea of what it was all about but, for me, an instant urge to see it again to pick up on all the little details which were missed.
One of the best movies I've seen in recent memory.

It looks awesome!!

My favourite film of the year so far was Shutter Island, Di Caprio is acting really well at the moment!

Shutter Island was an amazing film!

Did you see 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape'? It was the first time I'd seen DiCaprio in a movie (one of his first big roles I believe). He plays a mentally handicapped boy looked after by his older brother (Johnny Depp) as they grow up in a backwater town in the the US. Having not heard of DiCaprio before I was sure that they had actually cast someone with a mental disabilty to play the part, it's an incredible performance.
Great movie definately worth checking out for DiCaprios' stunning, oscar nominated, performance.... and for 'Becky' played by the lovely Juliet Lewis ;).

I'm going to watch Inception next week, as much as I don't want to like Dicaprio, he is really good.

saw inception yesterday and thought it was brilliant, Nolan is really on form at the minute and the cast were brilliant, am really liking the acting of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, hes come on so much from when he was in 3rd from the sun, Ellan Page is superb and Di Caprio is actually starting to grow on me, he has had an excellent year for films this year.

It's a fantastic film isn't it, he was really young when it was filmed, 15 or so

Saw inception yesterday, it absolutely blew my mind. I also dont get why people think its so complaex, i found it easy to follow, it just depends on how fully you want to understand the 'why'.

The ending pissed me off though, i dunno if nobody else in the film got it but i was just staring at the screen and when it went black for the end of the film i went 'bah' quite loudly lol

Saw this yesterday, and its very very good

Brilliant mix of action, clever storyline and the casting is excellent. As others have said, the only thing that spoilt it was other prats in the cinema

I really, REALLY hope they don't make a sequel to it. There are enough unanswered questions to make one, but it would lose so much if they do :(

Saw Inception on sunday, as said, top film, takes a bit of concentrating to keep track on the 'levels' but nothing thats going to frazzle your brain.:) One thing that I didnt get, a 'jolt' is needed for them to wake up. How come they didnt wake up when the van crashed?

Should probably avoid discussing the plot, there is no SPOILER title on the thread. Sent you an PM.

Late bumperoo but this was on at my local 'school-based' cinema at the weekend so I went along.

Stunning film from start to finish  . The effects were extremely well done - to the point where I'm sure there was CGI stuff happening that I didn't even notice.

I can't see how there would be a sequel to be honest, but the 'suits' will probably find a way

It's on my list of films to buy as soon as it's released on Bluray - it's absolutely one of those 'watch again' films  . 2 of the peeps that came with me saw it earlier in the year and were desperate to see it again

I went to watch this with the missus, it would have been an amazing film i we wernt sat 3 meters from a massive screen with shite sound, and the sound of chav box cars blasting past every 10mins :wack: il have to wait for a blu ray release to fully enjoy it now.

Just gotten back from watching this tonight. Absolutely and totally brilliant. Myself and my mate were on the edge of our seats all the way through, totally gripped by it.

Really not been that engrossed in a movie for a very long time, absolutely loved it. Everyone was awesome and the creativity in it was mind blowing!

Think I am missing out without Blue Ray tho.

definitely need BR  I got it on BR a week or so ago and it's excellent :D

I did, however, find my first plot hole with it which was frustrating. Still, I can gloss over that for what was otherwise a fantastic film.

How much is the average Blue Ray player these days? I'm going to kit my telly out with better speakers so I may as well look into a BR player as well.

Strage this has come up, watched in on BR last night 102" projector and SS. Was loving it until I spotted my first plot hole as well, wonder if it was the same one?

When they are 3 layers down, I dont think the physics are right given what happens 2 layers down

I bought a sony BD360 early last year for £120 including 2 BR's. You can get a Toshiba one for about £50 nowadays, or a Phillips for about £80, so not much in the grand scheme of things.

They grow old together in their limbo but when they go under the train to come back to their reality they're both young again.

Mine was, if they are floating in level 2 because the van is falling in level 1 then they should be floating in level 3?

Young as they get squashed or young when they wake up?

There is a flash back to when they get squashed and they are all prune looking  when they wakeup it had actually only been a few hours or something... I'd be pissed if I'd aged too much over a few hours :wack:

For the same reason as the pain for Sato got lesser as they went deeper - things they felt "above" lessened the more levels they went down.

Then maybe they should be about 50% weightless... the snowmobile run would have been amazing in 50/50 weightlessness

Thanks dude, I had in my head they were much more expensive than that. I'll pop out on payday and pick one up.

I think the growing old thing and then going under the train young could be explained them becoming Old Souls and not old people. He says Mal forgot and Limbo became her reality. Maybe he was looking at it from her point of view. Maybe it was an oversight.
