View Full Version : SXOC 3 Sisters Karting Do (Twin Engined Karts, 2HR Endurance)
Fancy fielding a team or few of 4 drivers for the above event?
3 sisters is a great track in Wigan BTW, very big and a good variety of corners mixed with a bloody long back straight. The Twin-Engined Pro-Karts do 70MPH and it feels faster :)
I'd be well up for that!:D
I'd go for that. Last time we tried to do twin engined karting with our work we were told that we had to complete a single engined endurance before we were allowed to use the twin engined ones   Could you check this out?
Also do you mean a team to all drive the same car (a la Le Mans), where we swap drivers? Or all race each other? 2Hr's in a kart would kill most of us, especially our arms, LOL.
Dunc.
Bahhh wuss, try a 6 hr endurance :D
Yer it's 4 men per kart, 2 hr endurance, so effectively 30mins each with 3 driver swaps during the session.
Where did you try to do it dunc? I used to be a member of the national pro karting centre out at Gladsmuir in East Lothian, don't think they had any rule like that and I'd say they have the best karting venue in Scotland - their outdoor track is great :)
Think it was one of the smaller places.
interested certainly, when though?
lol, was hoping one of you boys could tell me, full details are supposed to be in the members bit of the board, I read about it in the North West bit here:
http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=44138
It does say SXOC members & m8's. :)
ahh, they havent decided on a date yet, but kuddy is takin the piss outa len for his "piston slap"
Put us lot down for a couple of Karts then Kev - surely we can get 8 drivers?
i put myself and u in brian, cos both dunc and gee are members and so can put themselves in if they wish
Just added my name to the list.
Wondered where you guys interest had come from, I know its not the most convinient date for travelling afar, but this is the best I could come up with as all fridays were taken for AGES, and the first weekend would have been the last in November!!!!!!
If you read the members thread there is a hotels link, which all of you guys could crash at, if not its defo worth a day off work, and a drive there and back in a day :D
Thursday 21st August 2003
Latest arrival for briefing is 5:45pm so bunking off early from work is going to be the way forward ;)
I tried to make it a friday, but for safety reasons they would have to have cut short the event as light would deminish too much  as the first available date would have been in October!
Can everyone confirm attendance and get deposite monies/transfers/cheques (£12.50) to me for deposite ASAP.
Ta

I'm getting pretty busy these days, don't think I'll make it either :(
What do peeps think to having a Scottish karting day? Then it could be arranged at times to suit us more?
Let me know what you think.

I'm up for a Scottish Karting day. We can do it at the National Pro Karting Centre (Raceland) out at Gladsmuir, East Lothian on their outdoor track cos then we get to drive the twin-engined beasties
Dates wise, how about organising this for September?

Is it out or indoor?
Outdoor, decent 900M floodlit circuit with proper smooth tarmac surface and it's RACMSA approved. The circuit is known as "The Diamond".

Vez looks like the scottish team is falling apart.
Im sure me and Matt J will hold up the side though, ill give u the dosh at billing.

Brian, I was just thinking about the Scottish weather and September thing. It gets dark early as well. How many numbers do you think we'll need?
