My New Motor - 180sx

Well after much torturing myself and going to see different motors, I finally settled for a nice jdm 180sx. bought this two fridays ago.

tein coilovers (ajustable topmounts)
uprated diff 1.5way
nissan s15 turbo
5 stud conversion
17in super advans (wider rears)
oil catch can
rear strut brace
3in turbo back exhaust system
apexi induction kit
hks boost controler boost runs between 0.5 - 1.1 bar
hks turbo timer
greddy boost gauge
rear locking collers
clear front side lights
kouki front bumper
kouki side skirts
kouki rear lights
sparco steering wheel
jdm unknown branded carbon fibre gear knob
uprated discs
apparently has a wider front track than standard (previous owner was told r33 conversion of some sorts

few wee bits and pieces to do to it, paint is in excellant condition, one small bubble but appart from that it is excellant.
interior is clean with no rips car pulls really well, def feels sharper than my s14a, unsure of bhp so gonna do ai rolling day in a few weeks, but im hoping anything above 250bhp.

had the car one night and joyriders tried to nick it, thankfully my dad was home and chased them, near caught one too lol police where on scene within 20 minutes and very helpful.

security is now.... cough secure and the dogs have been on full alert. me da let the dogs chase them lol so i think they will think twice before returning hopefully. they had a car waiting to get away in. i returned home about 5 minutes after this happened in my wee alfa (which is now for sale) and i can honestly say if id arrived home as they ran id a happily hit them with my car lol scum

anyhoo over the moon with the car, gonna try hit some shows this summer, and as always comments welcome (Y)

iirc the 180 had TH1 & BN6 as colour options on the zenki/chuki ones - don't know if that blue is a factory colour though.

judging by the pictures of the engine bay, it looks like thats a factory colour.
it looks pretty nice. its abit shit that somebodys try'ed to nick it but im sure you'll do the smart thing and sort out a half decent security system

cheers for the comments, yeah scum level of activity really increased in ni recently, security in place already lol, actually when sittin flat the front is a lot lower, just the way it is on curb, it is the factory colour, funny colour at that, almost got some purple flake through it in direct sunlight

Interesting that someone's changed the turbo but kept the standard wing-mount - for better throttle response ? Or maybe PO lived somewhere cold ??

Very nice man, congrats. Loving the Advans, nice to see someone rocking the three-spokes again! Although would prefer to see a bit of dish on the rear (just my opinion).

Black cam cover implies 94 onwards, while assuming the Kouki bits were aftermarket implies it's Chuki, so no later than mid-96.

thanks for the comments, yeah not a massive fan of the dials myself but light up a nice blue lol, will keep an eye out i n t he future for a set of clocks for it

well spent the day washing polishing and waxing the 180sx

very pleased with the outcome, needs a set a brake pads and front wheel bearings i think but the to do list is slowly getting shorter ^:o)

anyone know any good sources for these parts?

aye the bonnet was raised when I bought it, so undecided whether to remove the lifters or not lol starting to get tired of people stopping me and saying my bonnets unlatched lol

lifters = drift style = CLASS! and they do serve a purpose! nice car dude, i LOVE s13s waaaaaay more than s14/a!

no never been a mad fan of big kits etc, like hte oem++ look more than anything, plus this shell is sooooo clean, rust free everwhere it'd be a shame to start changing it.

tuning wise maybe a fmic and a HKS SQBOV an maybe some form of chipage or ecu mod but not for a while yet. getting married in 8 weeks so money is tight lol
