View Full Version : Tyre fitters
I need a tyre fitter anyone able to recomend one in the southeast?
Just fitting or supply AND fit?
I have always had a great experience with Micheldever in Hampshire if you fancy a trip :thumbs:
Another vote for Micheldelver, its a bit of a trek for you lot, but its worth it
I made he mistake of doing one online recently and won't be doing it again.
They completely fooked it up :(
I was going to order a set from Camskill and get someone to fit them, will they be able to do that? I needed to order a set for my new wheels which won't be here for a couple of weeks however, I've just noticed one of the rears on the current set is a bit bald - perfect timing:rolleyes:
You'd be as well going direct to Micheldever mate, I can't beat them for price, they supply most other places in the UK.
If you're buying them online and just looking for a fitter I would say they're aren't worth the trip.
Before you buy online see how much it will cost for the tyres plus fitting, plus balancing plus disposal of the old tyres. then see what Micheldever charge.
Depends on if you have the time for the trip too, I normally do it on the way to my rents place so it doesn't take me out of the way or cost any petrol ;)
At the end of the day I want someone who is capable and not going to wreck the new wheels so happy to pay more and travel.
As for current rear wheels probably better to shove on some 2nd hand jobbies... anyone got some 255/35R18 kicking about? If not looks like I'll be taking the 225s off the SSRs and fitting them... pain in the arse:wack:

I know schumi had a pair of 18" tyres banging around not to long ago... not to sure what size they were though...
Cheers Abbotts:thumbs:
Schumi mentioned although from memory they're 265s so they will rub my arches:(

Boooooo, was just gonna mention that again Cloudy (cheers for the shout Hamish :D).
Hope you can get some sorted von Cloudy, and at not too much of an expense.
Cant wait to see your new wheels too
Cheers Schumi. I picked up a tyre yesterday, virtually brand new F1 for £40... the SXOC came to the rescue. Now I've just got to get it fitted.
Shameless thread hijack now Cloudy is sorted :D
Schumi,
What spec 18" 265s have you got for sale?
If they're 265x35 18" I'd be very interested ;)
Shameless indeed:annoyed::whip::rant::D:p
Gah another thread hijack!
Bloody Camskill! Usually pretty good getting tyres down to me. Ordered 2 FK452's to go onto the rear of a set of wheels I am currently having refurbed. Ordered last week, and they were 'in stock' so assumed oh they'll just turn up sometime this week, I'll then drop them off at the refurb place, and job done new wheels :)
Well that was the plan if both tyres had turned up! 1 made it here on Monday, the other well no idea tbh! No email to say its out of stock, and there still showing up on the site as being instock! Gah so now I'm waiting on the last tyre before they can be fitted and I can get them back. :(
/rage quit.

Lol, i believe they are 35s yeah, shall have a check on that when i get home sir :)
Soz for the hijack Cloudy, glad you got the tyre :)
Lol don't worry it's all good. I'm having great fun at the moment, I discovered yesterday that my front left brake disc is warped... explains the slight clunk and the wheel wobble at 70mph... stupid Datsun!
Rasta I feel your pain.
Well it turns out its not Camskills fault, they still have plenty of 452's in 255/35/18 its Shitty Link that are the problem! :(
Dispatched Friday, tyres x1 turn up Monday, t'other is somewhere in the City-Link chain :wack:
So it's now on someone elses car!
I think I'm having a bad week... in the process of giving the car a clean after it was covered in dust and probably ash only to discover the bodywork is covered in what look like water marks and I can't bloody remove them even with my Porter Cable and some Poorboys 2.5:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
So that's three things that have gone wrong with this stupid Datsun this week... there better not be a fourth otherwise I'm going to smash it with my sledge hammer :mad::mad:
Cloudy,
They say things come in threes so you should be right now :D
Schumi,
Cheers dude, just let me know :D
Er hello  Cloudy you numpty! :smash:
I forgot about you :wack: might pop down and see you today... I need tyre swapping over and be good to see you:)
