crashed car late august
put in for repair early october, told him not to hurry haven't got cash yet.
november droppped the panels he required round which were all in good condition especially the brand new ones (obviously, in good condition) and told him we now have the cash he then told us he'd work it in over the christmas period
he told us beginning of january it wud be ready mid february
mid february told us end of the month it wud be ready
beginning of march told us it wud be reafdy end of the month
mid march found out that it has been in lockup since december and that he'd get it out within next couple of weeks. and make a crack on with it and we'd have it mid april.
by end of april he told us still not out of lockup cuz the guy working on it is on holiday.
sat 24th may i went there with a mate and i saw it for the first time since november!! and he said it wqud be ready in 2 to 2and half weeks. so we were prepared to give him till sat 14th june ( 3weeks in total) so i arranged with kind steve carter to get it down to his for some work to be done on it week starting sat 14th june and booked in for MOT down there.
was then told by him of friday 6thn june that he doesn't rmeber telling me 2 to 2.5 weeks and my dad pressed him for a date cuz we had it booked in for mot and some work to be done in a weeks time. he then told us 6 weeks!!!
by dad then rang him again on the 7th didn't get him but got another guy there and said 6 weeks ur joking blah blah we're considering legal action blah blah.

i spoke to the ghuy there today and he he was pissed off with me for keep ringing him up and giving him grief! i told him that hes now had my car for 8 months and aftre hes given us numerous dates hes never kept to them. oh has it been that long. also tghose panels u supplied were shit, i said no they weren't they were fine when i dropped them round to u in november its cuz u've left them out side for 6 months. at the end of it all it came down to 2 options 1 i leave him be and let him finish it in his own time which wud be 4 weeks from today. or i pay him £800 for the work hes done on it so far and take it away.

from what i understand only stuff left to do on it is to prepare the panels and let them dry etc etc. im royally fcuked off to the point where i do actually want to go there and kick 7 bells of shit out of him and then some!

That's bad, but you don't need to be told that.

What you need to be told is that that's REALLY bad and you should get some legal advice. I bet you're not the first person he's fcuked over, and I bet you won't be the last

Don't kick his ass literally. Sue his ass. Put him out of business. It'll be much more satisfying than him taking you to court for assault.

Who/where is this vipers?? If you want some people to come over there with ya Ill offer my services :)
How much has he actually done to the car and how much is left?? Ill give you a hand to finish it off if you can get it back, but if hes done fapp all, then obviously you dont want to be paying him .............
Anyway mate - if theres anything I can do let me know, but Id make at least one call to CAB to see where you stand legally
Remember - I rebuilt the front end of mine - its not that bad ........... :wack: :wack:

from what i've seen of it, he had unbent it all and needed to prepare and fit the front drivers side wing, door sill. and needed to preapre and fit the rearpanel and bumper.
what he told me today is that he's fitted the pannels:confused: and needs to prepare them/ spray them.

yeah a couple of my mates has offered to go down with me and pay him a visit ;)

another option that has sprung to my attention is that i could steal it back. theres no paper work to say that he has my car, so he can't report it to be stolen, so long as i get it back without causing damage etc then i see no problem with it. cuz i don't wan to pay him for fcuking me around for the last 8 months.

Don't do that mate, you could expose yourself to legal action from him. Best bet is to speak to Department of Trading Standards, and they will tell you exactly what your rights are, plus it's free :)

Condolences mate, I fvking hate pikey garages like that :(

take it back, dont tell him, see if he reports it to the police, if he doesnt, then dont even pay him for the work he has done, if he does report it to the police, he will probably say that loads of other stuff has been nicked so he can claim on his insurance, u wont have to pay him then cos he will be too busy defending himself against a claim for fraud from the ins co:D
