This is why I haven't bought a single CD since 1998.

Hell! I think I'm one of the remaining few who (stoopidly obviously!) still buy CD's. I like the record store experience and like to have the original artwork etc. Probably dates back to vinyl when the record sleeve was as much a part of buying an album as the music.

I tend to pay for an original CD and then have it copied a couple of times so that I've got a copy in my car and one in my upstairs player.

Vinyl? Whats that? Though have to say, the vinyl I do have does sound better than CD's

I haven't bought a CD since 1998 thank j00 napster and easynet newsgroups :)

Justifiably so I feel. The artists make not much money its the distributors who take the lions share. Well distirbution is changing they need to keep up or die. I would prefer to see artists making money from touring.

 Agreed and given that I've paid £180.00 for two tickets to V2003 :D I think I'm helping the artists in my own small way ;) oh and the mighty Virgin corporation aaaaarrrrgggghhh

Hey up wannabeaslappa :D

I suggest maybe you have a look at this site

www.kazzalite.tk

This is a peer to peer file sharing program and you can share documents and files with your friends and if you need to you can put them onto a CD in various formats.

My unsigned band use this as a means of getting our mp'3s out into the world and then our fans can download them and burn them to cd using a program called nero and a cd-writer.

Of course as I hold the copyright to my music I allow people to do this but you must be careful not to upset metallica by burning their music to CD. Because REMEMBER KIDS COPYRIGHT THEFT WILL CU BURN IN HELL AND YOUR WEENER WILL STOP WORKING !!

Hello again wannabebiatchslapped :D

I don't have a band currently......

But I did have to do some carfeul editing in the previous message so that it didn't look like I was telling the world that stealing music and copyright theft was a good thing.

When I was in a band when I was err 16-20 played rythm guitar. I liked to play

Van Halen stuff
Pride and Glory
Later metallica stuff

Anything that was ripping loud and rock. Was really good fun till it all got to serious and then it got poo as it was all stress and no fun. Still we played the lomax in liverpool and got our music played on radio merseyside. We called oursevles B.A.T. first (Bugger all talent) which later became Zero (as thats all we would ever amount too).

:D

Yourself ? I bet you listen to

Blue
Justin Timbershakes
Blue (coz they are ooo soo lush :P )
Errr Dixie Chicks
Blue
Robbie williams

Hmmmm? Heavy guitar music now I didn't see that one coming...you old rocker you...hehe.

As it happens :p I do own a Blue CD and Justin's 'Justified' (ooooh Justin ;) ) but both were bought because I like one or two tracks. I like all sorts...currently most listened to albums are Dirty Vegas 'Dirty Vegas', White Stripes 'White Elephant', Feeder 'Comfort in Sound', Groove Armada 'Lovebox' but it depends on my mood. This morning only Van Morrison would do...somedays (Tuesdays usually...me don't like Tuesdays) only Bright Side of the Road will get my ass to work. What about you?

I tend to buy music for the car (sad I know) got hold of the matrix album last night and thats pretty sweet to have on in the car.

Also I lurv the new Audioslave album and alot of Rage against the machine stuff is good fun because "I won't do what they tell me" :D

I LOVE the feeder stuff from the gran turismo game but everytime it comes on I start going extremely fast ? :wack:

Justin Timberfake needs to justify his existence in my opinion but he seems a ok bloke on the telly which is ok. Robbie started out ok now he comes across as an aroggant womanising COCK :D

White stripes seem ok but where they not man and wife at some point those two ?

The Matrix!!!!!!!! Don't even get me started on sci-fi'esque type movies or Keanu's inability to act. I can only imagine what the soundtrack is like. OMG I bet you like that hideous Blade movie?!

Oooh do Feeder feature on computer games? They're amazing live as are the White Stripes. Saw both at the Radio1 Weekender in Manchester a few weeks ago. Top line-up and all FREE. Obviously that appealed to the Yorkshire lass in me.

I don't play computer games...no one seems to want to play with me ...too painful an experience apparently because I haven't got any hand and eye coordination...it's very cruel of peeps (and they call themselves friends? Pah) to mock the afflicted but mock they do. Well I can't be good at everything...just aswell that I'm extremely good at other things (oooo'er ;) )

JUDGE ME WILL YOU !!!

I shall have you know the matrix was the biggest heap of dung I have ever seen. Same with blade 2 not my cup of tea but the album is ok.

I got into feeder because they are on the GT3 game :)

The last decent movie I can remember seeing is 13 days so :P go look it up it was a corker. Films with Jack Nicholson rule (about schmidt and as good as it gets where class) oh and any film with Sandra Bullock in (purely for her acting ability of course).

Why is it that everytime I venture into a thread with you in it, it turns into a conversation. You need to get ICQ and join in our little online chat community

www.icq.com

Meh num is 16312185

Will introduce you to the rest of the northern ppl.

You've redeemed yourself. As 'Good as it Gets' is one of my all time fav 'feel good' movies. And Sandra Bullock is class.

So I'm chatty what yer gonna do? I will point out that there's usually someone else party to my 'conversations'. I don't talk to myself. Well I do but that's another story...hehe.

I don't think I can access ICQ (again with the technical stuff). Defo blocked at work me thinks.

Anyhoo I'm going now. Nice biatchslapping ya, sorry I mean talking to ya. Sandy
