Hi there everyone. For our joint birthdays, myself and CrazySX are wanting to do a Dyno session at Surrey Rolling Road.
We will definitely be there, so if anyone else would like to pop along to watch/have a run then you're more than welcome :). I shall update with a time to meet etc once it is known :).
Cheers
schumi84 :sxoc:
I think I`ll be there:wack:
It`s also my birthday that weekend:thumbs:
I'll be in Holland with Ken, Stidi and Matty2fatty that weekend :D
Sorry fellas :(
whats the cost for a run...?
Think I'll pop down to abuse Charlie... probably put the car on as well.
Hey Guys,
Schumi and i have been talking about organising this for a while as we missed the Feb SXOC SRR
Should be a fun day, and the weather seems about right.. dry and sunny but cold
I am hoping for circa 280bhp.. lets hope i don't have to eat humble pie :wack:
I made 269 in november with standard turbo and manifold/elbow
I now have apex extreme manifold, 3" elbow and downpipe oh and T28r. When the old trubo/manifold came off there was like a 1mm gap between them, so i think i woulda been losing bout 10psi from there
Anyway.. the proof is in the pud.
Sorry Algie/Ken/Stid/Matty can't make it.. but anyone else who fancies it.. let us know.. the more we can get on, the better price we should be able to get

Will be good to see you too mate, car all sorted and back on the road now

I am in the process of working out how much it will cost us, hopefully if we can get a few together then it wont work out too expensive.
Will keep you posted though :)
nice one, keep me posted and let me know if you require anything from me
FWIW I think Charlie offers discounts for groups of about 10 or more, it used to be 13 but he's flexible now
We have got a whole day of Vauxhall`s on the 24th:wack:
If it`s just you two we will fit you in but gonna be busy so won`t have much time to chat much:(
ive got my ps13 booked in with ryan 2 bar tuning for a map at srr on the 21st shame you cant make that day
I'll be there on 24th finishing a few bits off.....Syvecs is being installed Tuesday night:D

... and the gearbox goes bang on Wednesday morning:D
new name for solaris i belive
new name for solaris i belive
Yep.
lucky bugger. if my car wasnt running AEM i would be going for syvecs.
who's fitting and mapping it dans14?
Yeah he is a lucky bugger... I believe Ryan is fitting it and mapping. Dan's is pushing 370 on a 3a so it will be interesting what this new setup will produce.
probably a nice mix of steel an aluminium bits from either the engine or gearbox:wack:
Then you and I will get a phone call asking for help to finally fit your old engine and gearbox:wack:
Horsham Developments 3a set up and chip.
ah ok not up on my h dev stuff
So a solaris is a mappable ECU?? sounds expensive. I am planning to fit my emanage blue and 444 injectors after this dyno run.
Anyone had any experience with the emanage blue?? I am planning to get a wideband and road map it :wack:

It is indeed and more, although it's now called Syvecs

Emanage blue is OK, but a bit of a bodge solution... Prob better off with something like megasquirt or a second hand powerfc if you want to do DIY (and are on a tight budget) :)
I'll be at SRR on the 5th May with Jez having my car mapped properly :)

Yep, looking forward to it.
Though i am hoping to work out what on earth is rattling on my car beforehand :wack:
front or rear?? Mine has a slight rattle on take off.. i know exactly what it is.. need to get it sorted soon
Lets hope its a COLD but sunny dry day ;)

Rattle seems to be from the frontish area (more under the car than anything). Seems to happen between 1500 and 2000 RPM both going up and down the rev range, but only when moving along.
The knocking is coming from the rear and looks to possibly be around the drive shafts area, maybe a dodgy CV joint?
Either way it is going on the ramps tomorrow so i can have a good look and see if anything is loose :)
ah ok, u may have the same problem as me, my downpipe needs bracing up. Its sits very close to the floor, infact its so close i had to remove the heat sheild
Need to get it sorted, as the turbo might started loosening its bolts :wack:
If its a knock at the rear then most likely to be a CV  i am sure u will soon find out on the ramp ;)

Good call on the downpipe, one area i will definitely be looking at
Driving around yesterday and today at near 0mph there is now a constant knocking/rubbing noise. Had the car in the air and the wheel is on tight and doesnt move side to side so am very confused :(.
Hope i can pinpoint it this afternoon, and just hope it doesnt affect the results tomorrow :wack:
Not going to pop down tomorrow as I'm a bit busy, besides I'm off next week so will visit Charlie then.

Well the rattle is sorted once again :) (loose bolt on the elbow end of the downpipe) but more importantly the bolt holding the gearbox to the chassis was loose also, so caused the majority of the rattling :).
Still unsure on the knocking noise but will try and diagnose tomorrow
see you in a bit dude, hope ur bringing a digicam.. i have the phone.. 5mp.. should do the trick :)
your car needs a clean :D

Sorry again for being late Crazy, got there in the end though and hope my hold up didnt wreck your afternoon :(.
Was a really good day and a massive thanks to Ninja and Dan at SRR for helping to diagnose and sort out my car, really sorry for that, poxy thing :(. Thanks also to Crazy for putting up with my lateness and also Cloudy for his epic ZipTie skillz :D
But, all going well i shall get the new AFM fitted tomorrow (thanks again Ninja) and the lean running will hopefully not have done any lasting damage.
Have started uploading the vids to Youtube so will get them posted on here tomorrow some time with the results

Hey Schumi,
No need to apologise mate, I added to the lateness with my crappy nokia maps satnav lol!! We made it in the end tho, and in good time. Else we would have been only waiting around anyway.
It was great catching up with you guys. Glad you got your AFM sorted. I just need to get my boost controller setup. Wasn't happy with 256hp  but very happy with the rate at which it gets there ;)
I think i will reset the boost controller and make another trip soon. Maybe next month
Schumi, Good result.
Sorry I couldn't make it.
Right Guys,
I finally got photobucket to work at work, and got my dongle out :wack: Here are some pics from the day.

Not bad for a Nokia N96 5mp camera hey ;)
Yeha the car looks massive in comparison. I have since reset the boost controller, and i can feel the difference in 3rd already.
Trying to organise a run with Ninja some time soon.
