Jez,

Wanted to thank you for the 1a remap last week - had a great drive home and averaged almost 30 mpg as opposed to 26 on the way down....not bad for an auto, two-up plus a dog and a full boot. :)

It really shifts now and the auto seems to be responding well to the extra boost ; it seems easier to get it to hold 4th on the motorway with a good slug of acceleration, rather than just kicking down whenever you touch the throttle. Still obviously kicksdown and when it does it's now.....erm...very effective! :D

Cheers...

I'm thinking of getting a 1a chip too in my auto, is yours a custom map or the plain 1a map? any mods apart from the exhuast, plugs, pump, intercooler and filter recommended? Is this at the 17psi recommended too?

I've just got the standard 1a map and the corresponding mods i.e downpipe, decat, cat back exhaust (guess that should be decat back), plugs, pump, intercooler, filter and last but not least, the electronic boost contoller. The only other thing I have is a boost gauge and that has proved useful.

1a is 17psi, which is what my car is set to but you can reduce this if you wish; I was running 13.8 psi with the above mods but minus the map for a few weeks prior to having the remap fitted and even that made a big difference to how it drove, as you would expect with 13.8 psi in every gear..

No problem mate! :sxoc:

Like you, I'm really happy with the auto and it does seem to be better with the boost turned up, although I'm sure it would struggle if it had to do plenty of track work or you constantly ragg the thing. Think I'll be turning the boost down come Autumn/Winter. :)

I think the 1a setup is great from a value for money and performance point of view. Glad you're pleased :)
