Was that the Million Dollor Man doll you looked through the back of his head & everyting was magnified ? You could pump something on his back to make his arm go up etc ?

I had a James Bond Lotus which fired rockets from the back & had wing things which came out the side. It wouldn't float though :(

Yep and he had a little computer chip in his arm cos he was bionic :)

Used to have a model of Thunderbirds 2 and 4 (I think), the yellow underwater one that fired a missile, Good stuff.

Lego. Lots of Lego.

Also had action man (proper one, when he had guns rather than skateboards!), playpeople and lots of toy cars. And a Hornby train set that doesn't count because my dad spent all his time playing with it!

Can't really remember what toys I had other than lots and lots of lego and playmobile stuff. I can remember (it's still painful!) what toys I wasn't allowed tho'

A chopper bike - I was only allowed a Budgie which wasn't the same at all

Mousetrap - can't remember the reason I wasn't allowed that. Cruely to animals most probably.

Simon - my Mum and Dad wouldn't spend money on something they claimed I'd toss aside (as if!) the moment the batteries ran out

It's amazing I'm not emotionally scarred.

Oooh does anyone remember bumbles...flashback to the 80's...you could defo get them in orange or yellow not sure about other colours...a plastic 'head' with a spring body that you could tumble down the stairs. No-one else seems to remember them at all so I'm begining to think that I imagined mine. I must've been a lonely child.

hehe Yay a fellow Budgie owner. We should start a whole new BB. Mine was purple and also heavily modded...rear view mirror, pink tassley things dangling from the handle bars. Oh and a bell...don't forget the bell :D

I have been recently trying to track down some of the mad jap TV shows I was brought up on.

Heres a few

1) Star Fleet - Power rangers ripped everything from this.

2) Space Cruiser Yamato (cartoon) and the black tigers she had on board that was ace when you where 10.

3) Some mad rocket man dude who would grow from 6ft to 600ft in size to fight these mad godzilla monster things. It was all live action like power rangers stylee.

Anyone experience the above programs ?

Toys,

Scalextric which had the burnout bit with the oil that you spilt on the carpet. We did a formula1 hill climb once to see what the maximum angle the car would go up. Burnt a motor out doing that lol stank like feck.

Big Track - The programmable tank thing you used to spend 9 hours typing in assembly language to make it fall down the stairs or something equally constructive.

Dart boards - For some reason a dart board when you are 9 years old is funny as feck. Well it was funny seeing what the darts would stick into. Artex cielings, wooden doors, sisters :D

Air rifles - Everyone should try this once before the age of 16 :)

Transformers - Ace I could never get the ones I really wanted tho like swoop and prowl.

He-Man - Toys where way expensive

Thundercats - Even more expensive !

Action force - Wild Bill's AH-1 attack chopper ruled. COBRA COMMANDAAAAARRR

Evil Kenivel. The guy sat on his bike and it had a motor you wound up with a red launcher. The handle of which was too low and you always skinned you knuckles.

I had a Chopper bike too, the most unstable verging on downright dangerous bikes I have ever ridden, including the ones I made myself Scrapheap Challenge style. Great fun though :D

I LOVED this show.
Puppet show in a Gerry Anderson stylee but better. Shiro, Princess Lamia, a red haired guy (Tiny?) and a big white hairy thing which looked like the Hoth Wampa with deely boppers on :D :p . They all had ships which joined up to form the X1 robot (?).
I really wished they'd bring this back but it's never been repeated or released on video.

Moss-man...from He-Man....ah those were the days, my Mum dug him up not long ago, apparently he had been living quite happily in the grass heap at the bottom of their garden for the last 10 years! Gave Mum quite a fright though :D :D

One thing I can recommend (you've got to experience it once in you're life!) is putting the crappy small scalextric ones (took 4 nicad batteries) onto the large plug in proper style ones.

It was awesome, gaining traction was almost impossible and spinning off around corners was a certainty (but was possible to get round in the right hands).

Are you sure it wasn't just plain old he-man after ten years in the wild? All he-man characters had he-man's muscular body anyway IIRC, even skeletor? WTF, how does that work?

Anyone remember "round the bend" featuring sketches such as:- Thunderpants featuring "Y-frontio" and "bum-ra". And also Wee-man featuring "toiletdoor" instead of skeletor etc. :D

I had a Raleigh AeroBurner chrome BMX(i wonder if that`s where my love of all things shiney came from??)Transformers, loads of lego, matchbox cars(they all ended up burnt when i discovered if you put a lit match on the front of one car and petrol on the other you got realistic car crashes:D ) TCR set wicked coz the cars didn`t have to sit in a groove on the track and therefore drift all over the place:D )aerobie, whizzback(but it never did:confused: )
Tamia Falcon and Boomerang RC cars( i laways wanted Blackfoot or the Lunchbox though:( )
not forgetting Garbage Pail kids cards and Fighting Fantasy books:thumbs:
