Not for SX, but for my B20B Engined Honda S-MX, that I reckon has possibly slipped a tooth or has been deliberately set due to it having a supercharger on previously. I need to set it back to standard spec and do a cam-belt change whilst there.

Who can do this please as I need this car up and running for when Melissa has the baby mid April(ish)?

Anyone?

(Asking here because I simply cannot afford to go to a garage to get it done and I have never done it myself).

Bit of a drive fella but TGM in Fleet would be a great bet on it. They're very well respected Honda guys, do a lot of work on Tegs. Having seen some of the costings that come out of there too, they're not that expensive, either.

Very highly recommended by others on ITR-DC2

Not a fooking chance!

Aj's will do it... any garage will do it tbh

Even the place around the back of work will do it if you book it in early enough

a cambelt change on ANY Honda is covered in the Honda Happiness deal, so it's peanuts.... or it used to be, I think it was £199

They included JDM DC2's and DC5's, so possibly :)

£199, that's pretty good, as it's a lot of work (tight space). Not that I want to fork out £199 especially at only 31K miles, but need to get the car sorted.

Considering whether to buy a 'Gates' timing belt and vernier pulleys (ebay) to be put in. Might be easier if I supercharge later to do the timing??

That would be sweet if they honoured it over here

By the time you have enough money to supercharge it petrol would have run out! :wack:

lol. Probably right, but it was supercharged would like to get back to it.

Will check with Honda for price unless anyone else can do it safely for cheaper and fancied so cash.

Hopefully sorted thanks to AJ's :-)

Didn't use Aj's as the guy didn't have the time to get back to me it seems. I used a local garage in the end, and the timing was exactly the cause of the problems.

New cam belt and kit, retimed + new lower engine mount as that was torn in two. Can't wait to pick her up tomorrow :D

Car is back, and what a difference. I reckon the timing needs advancing a little, but doesn't almost stall out at junctions now lol and sounds nicer to :)
