we were encouraging for the first ten minutes, then awful for the rest of the half, they were lucky with their goal tho.
i think we could have had about 4 goals if we had been a little more lucky with our finishing. not a great performance but you cant complain when you win :wack: :thumbs:

For me the management is wrong. How long did that diamond shape last?

We need a manager that players respect and fear performing badly for. I am not big on foreign managers for England, but the press have put paid to any home talent wanting the job.

A partnership of Venables and Mad Frankie Fraser would be my choice!:D

i think last night was an exception, but what is it with england that when they score they get ALL their players behind the ball and just dont attack any more. Brazil game last year was a prime example, how can you score after 20 mins, then expect to defend for the rest of the game and expect a team like brazil not to score:confused: :confused: .

can't agree that lampard had a good game. Gerrard and Owen were superb and I hate Liverpool as well. I thougfht Owen Hargreaves made a difference as did Vassell when he came on. Phil Neville did alright as does Gary Chuckle when he plays. Overall we should have played better at home against a second rate country like Slovakia. The right resut though and three points

Being Scottish and totally impartial:rolleyes: I thought you guys were lucky the Slovaks missed the couple of good chances they had and that should never have been a penalty when owen fell over, that was the turning point I felt.
