Luckily when I got back I could see walking up to the car my number plates where still there.

However the car behind me a 2001 ford focus was resting on its brake disks. Somehow in broad daylight on a fairly busy train station they removed all four of its wheels and made off. I know there is a focus locking nut skeleton key doing the rounds at the moment a lad across the road had his done in the same way.

I informed the station officer and the cops last night. If these thieves continue like this they will have nicked enough parts to build a car by the end of next week.

If the police had just tootled by even once today they would probably have caught them !

Gutted :(

Thats not good as Fords use McGuard Locking wheel nuts which are very popular now and most wheel places sell them. so its not just focus's that are targets, almost everyone who has alloys

I reckon you should take a day off and sit and wait for them with some tooled up mates if it's happening so often.

If I ever get aftermarket alloys Im using 2 x locking nuts on them (different makes). I don't care if it's extra hassle. Rather not get em nicked!

Which station car park is it? I assume it's one without cctv, although some don't seem to care they still do it as the constabulary don't seem to follow these things up too often for some reason. B.t police should be notified, if you tell me which station it is,I'll see if it's been noted for attention,I'm off work holiday at the moment, but I'll have a word with them when I get back.

Locking nuts dont work if the person wants your wheels badly enough. There is a way without using the key to take them off, I have never done this but it was explained to me once.
