There are also two black Vectra's operating with the same gear around Norwich and surrounding areas.
Saw both in one day having pulled two different people over.
Also they have blue Ford Maverick, pretty noticeable though coz it has 4 aerials!!
If that Omega is lowered then surely it's illegal as that is not the ride height designed for the car and it should fail it's MOT.
Mmm...?

If a car would not pass the MOT then it shouldn't be on the road.
A lowered car shouldn't pass as it doesn't meet the required ride height.
The garage who MOT my car won't pass any unless they raise the suspension first.
Rightly so, in my opinion!
So how do all these lowered car pass the MOT then if you're right?
Is it like with decats, but instead of putting the cat back on for an hour, they all put the original springs back on their cars?
I'm all confused now, my head hurts
I've NEVER heard that before!

Decats: You have to pass the emissions test so yes, the CAT sometimes does go back in for the MOT.
Lowered cars should not pass their MOTs.
Nor should S*xos, N*vas and the usual array of abused boy-racer rubbish
Here's the suspension bit of the MOT test, no mention of ride height:
SUSPENSION
Under bonnet checks
• Upper suspension joints
• Any other suspension components which can be inspected from beneath the bonnet
Under vehicle checks
Both the front and rear suspension are checked to ensure.
• No split pins or nuts missing, no components broken or bent
• Road springs function effectively, no excessive wear
• Suspension joints function effectively, no excessive wear
• Shock absorbers must not leak and must be secure (the vehicle will be 'bounced' by the Tester to check that they damp the springs adequately).
Suspension is checked for wear by the assistant applying loads in various ways with the wheels jacked up whilst the Tester observes the result from beneath the vehicle.
:)
Edit: Guidance of what is on the MOT test can be found at:

bad luck guys :) Totally legal here - so long as the lowest part of your car is greater than about 150mm off the road (a drink can has to fit standing up - so however tall one of them is). Interestingly my mates standard '86 911 was only about 100mm at the front bar (and a coke can didn't even come close)- I guess they make exceptions for porches etc :):)
