Went to Bathwick tyres this afternoon to get 2 tyres fitted that i brought from Camskill. Asked how much it would cost to put them on and was quoted £75:eek::eek::eek::eek: £75 just to fit 2 tyres!!

Needless to say i didn't get them fitted there and went round the corner to AbleFit who did it for £20!

Just a warning to anyone thinking of going there DON'T:sxoc:

Lots of places don't want to fit tyres you've bought on the internet. Try getting KwikFit to do it
£75 is a go-away-and-don't-come-back-until-you're-buying-the-tyres-from-us quote.

kwik fit as a rule wont fit parts that you havent bought from them, mainly because in the past people have sued them for failure of parts that were fitted, even though they never supplied them, its actually a company rule now.... even though our boss usually says "no receipt and you pay the fitter direct" so there is no record of it

exactly the reason I bought a tyre machine for myself. I can fit tyres for cheap for people, more tyres the cheaper the fitting.

I used to spend loads of time and money trying to get drift rubber/internet bought tyres fitted but no ones insurance will cover it

Not that I'm local, but £75

My place does it for £20 a pair on the car or £10 a pair off the car :)

i always go to ATS in yate, charged me 40 quid to swap 3 tires from my damaged rims to my new ones balance the 3 new ones, check that 4th was still balanced properly and take the 4 nasty crappy standards off my car and fit the 4 new (again) wheels, considering they did all that and they take extreme care not to damage the wheels i thought it was a bargain!

I like to go there because they're workshop is very very tidy and they have proper drive on ramps none of that flimsy under car crappy ones that if not used properly mess up the under side of your car... anywya that's just my 5p worth... i sopose alot of you are drifters so you're not gonna worry about such things!

Normally if i get Tyres, i go to Able-fit in Longwell green, or at a last resort i go to Britannia tyres in Fishponds.

Think i'm now going to always use able-fit to get tyres fitted, £20 for 2 tyres on the car is going to be hard to top!
