As per title, who wanted a drift day then?

flight to exeter is about £10 on the saturday but flights back are around £90 - £100

Theres a practice area in the helepad perfect for 2nd gear doughnuts and small figure of eights, good for any beginners.

I've meet quite a few of the guys that will be going to this and they're all a nice bunch.
Will defiantly be spectating if no space left to participate.

Paul - Sounds good! Got a spare set of 4 standard 16's so anything that'll go on them. Been onto afew mates and they are guna check at work etc for anything useable but the more the merrier :thumbs:
Im now not driving this as my bank balance decided to run away to somewhere tropical overnight.
Im still going to go up and spectate but i just can afford to pay the entrance fee and get hold of tyres, and fuel that bastard thing.
so i'll be free to spanner throughout the day for anyone who needs it.
HOWEVER! if no-one buys my ticket im just going to have to scrape through and drive!

Was a good day today, first drift event I've ever seen. Hope everyone manages to get home ok. Their were a few casualties before I left :(
Should all be fine tho :)
Dammit. I've been stuck at work all day. Seriously considering handing back my franchise and getting a job that gives me more time off. 6 days a week, no holiday unless I pay someone to come in here makes for not a lot of spare time. The money's not great at the moment either :( Quiet period. Will probably stick it out over the summer (busy period) and then change jobs if there are some decent ones around.
Really wanted to go to this :( Got some more new bits to fit now too :D (No, Chris, it hasn't cost me any more money other than driving around swapping things, calling in and now owing some favours :D)

Aww man i suck!
Started to get the hang of things towards the end of the day but had a few problems with my battery comming free in the boot a few times, not fun loosing all electric.
Learnt a hell of a lot today and look forwards to being able to get more practice in over the summer and build on it.
Really started to get the hang of what im calling section 3 (long left hander after the helipad and down to the last corner) at the end of the day but ran out of time.
Car will be better spec'd for the next one to make it more predictable and tighten up the front end.

Twas an awesome day, loved every minute. Even when I did total my front suspension :) lol
I got some good seat time, took lots of peeps out for rides, including my mum haha. Also got a passenger ride from monkey magic in my car which was awesome as always. Learnt a lot and also learnt a lot about my car and how I can improve it further.

Lots of smashed bumpers, smoke coming from beemers, snapping suspension etc. It was like people had a vendetta for the cones :wack:
Kev got his car fixed but with ridiculous toe settings, one wheel was toeing out loads more than the other must have been a nasty ride home, how are my tyres looking Kev? :D
Got some good onboard footage of Jev's hachi apart from I look wired from the relentless lol

It was a class day shame about the bloody rian but a least it wasn't all day.
I went out in the team church scooby that was brilliant. I was going to go out in Martin Wonnacotts V8:thumbs: beemer but he was have fuel issues for most of the morning so his mate Dan took me around.:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy
I saw Kev going around:thumbs::thumbs:( spot on runs) and Martin but you always were really busy on the car so i didnt get chance to talk to you.

Iam liking the vids :thumbs: i couldn't watch them last night.
Yes i did manage to fix my car thanks to a fellow drifter who happened to have a pair of ball joints sat in his car :) they were the wrong size so i had to go get them welded in but it got me home and we were able to leave at a fairly normal time.
Iam glad that i haven't used my car much cose if the bodged balljoint broke on the road it could have been scary :eek:

Tyres are actually ok, mainly due to the wet roads stopping them melting. my parents said that the tyre squeal was audable from theyre hilux. christ. the drive was scary, nerve racking and i was soo tired when we got home.

I may have seen you at the finish line, my parents were stood there as well. I guess you saw me bringing cones back to the pits every now and again :o tbh yesterdaqy was a bit of a blur and i feel slightly guilty for destroying my car lol

I know that i broke a side skirt, cracked a front wing, cracked the front bumper in lots of places, one crack on the rear bumper. i think there is also something up with the rear suspension and i broke the bodged driver side ball joint. thats all i have noticed but i expect i have a few dents in the exhaust, gearbox and sump. happy days :D
If they run again will tow my car down and treat it to a sump guard I think

See?! This is precisely why I'm worried about having a go in my car! If it breaks, I have no way of getting to work.
One day though I will get a track-only car and have a go in that. Hopefully business will pick up over the summer and I'll be able to start work on such a car later this year.

it seemed the ones we fill were ok tey lasted it was the small ones that we thought would be ok till next time broke up and got bigger thorough the day even the ones in the pits
it was good to see some of the guy who in the mornign were barely doing a loop in the pen hitting the track in the afternoon

Thanks for putting in the time to organise it, shame your car wasn't ready. I intended on giving you a ride so you could experience how cool it feels to be skidding in a gentleman drift car lol shame I went off. You will know for yourself soon enough :D

Was good to meet Gary & Dad & Chris, to catch up.

Argh - I can only see the PBucket vids here at work, ewetube and vimeo dont work. Will check when I get home - still yet to upload my stuff, cant find my damn DV cable for my bullet cam footage. Got afew pics though... Will stick a link up wen I get home.
