Feckin' kids

My wife has just called to tell me that someone has put a 2 foot scratch down the side of her car :mad: ( not a 200, so don't worry too much ). She reckons it was of the pikey-esque kids ( looks & acts like one, but lives in a real house ) which has started hanging around where we live.

Apart from burning down his grans caravan, anyone got any ideas how to deal w/ this little fecker ( legal ones ) ? I was thinking of offering some of the kids a few quid to tell me who did it as long as t plod actually do something about it.

As to what you can do legally well the answer is not a lot. Plod are unlikely to care even if you have witnesses because this isn't a serious crime (like doing 41 in a 40 zone for instance). If you do have witnesses whatever you do do not offer them any money to testify as this will undoubtedly coime out in the end and you'll be up for perverting the course of justice.

Probably the only remedy you have assuming you have witnesses is to take out a private prossectution for criminal damage but this will cost you money and they'll only get let off even if they are found guilty (hence why plod won't bother with a prosecution in the first place).

A lady and her daughter got mugged outside my local Sainsbury's the other week. The whole thing was caught on CCTV so you would have thought the police could prosecute the culprit wouldn't you.

HOWEVER, the police said they would not be able to prosecute because it would take up to a year for them to proicess the CCTV footage :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

Why. it dosn't take them more than 2 weeks to process the film from a 'Safety' Camera. :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

I was just saying to my misses this morning.

If they can have a camera on a satellite that you can use from a pc on Earth that will zoom and show someone sunbathing topless in the bahamas with crystal clarity.

Why does cctv camera footage filming a 'crook' 5 feet away always look as though it has been filmed in a snow storm??

Yep yep - some scrote nicked the stezza out of my missus car the other day - in the car park of my local where I was having a drink with her and a couple of mates :mad:
Knew it was a kid coz they potted the passenger window, left the parcel shelf (too big to carry) and tried to pull the CD cable out of the Alpine autochanger (its static, dickhead :mad: ) thus breaking the changer :mad: :mad: :mad:
Me and said mates go off round the village stopping anyone under 21 and asking what they know etc. - best response was from a group of about 20 "ruders" who shat themsleves and gave us a name, as did a few others.
Phoned the old Bill and told them the kids name, made it clear I was local and knew this scrote was nicking stezzas in my village and they did precisely **** all about it, to the point that even when a little "heat" was applied and the stereo turned up, the law wouldnt let my girlfriend reclaim it, because she couldnt prove it was hers :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:
The best bit?? I know the kid, where he lives etc. so I could have beaten him ................... except he is 13 :rolleyes: :|
Oh, and his old man owns a 200 as well :( :(
IMHO the police are utterly useless, unless of course I had taken the law into my own hands, in which case Id be doing a stretch atm. Wakners :|
