Just had a wee idea that might be good.
How about we keep a record of the cheapest prices of Optimax/SUL in our local areas in order to lessen the burden our thirsty cars put on our pockets?
The idea came to me when I was coming back from Cost-Co in springburn t'other day. The Shell station there (Springburn Road) had standard unleaded for 5p less (I kid you not) than my local Jet station and Optimax was 3p cheaper (79.6p) than my local Shell IIRC.
My Dad reckoned that Shell is always a good bit cheaper and reckoned it was down to drug money laundering (too much LSD in the sixties me-thinks :wack: ).
This will probably work better for the chaps down south who live closer to one another (or at least have motorways connecting them) and I might suggest it to them based on what you chaps think.
It may not be worth our while to travel too far out of the way but it means if we're passing through we'll know where's best to fill up.
Cheers,
Jonny
