ninja rascal sleeper

right i havent got a project thread for my ps13 as ive not done much to it yet but i just have a new toy i thought i would do a thread.

i just picked it up a few days ago

Bedford rascal and it has a zx9r ninja engine fitted

plans are to give it a fresh paint job, some wider wheels and a lot of engine mods. going to keep it a sleeper.

ill get more pics of everything over the next few days.

anyone know of any good zx9r ninja mods?

Id say get the bodywork rust issues sorted, then put on non bright, dull paintwork, should keep it a bit sleeperish then dude! It looks awesome, really jealous!

The guy who can help you with the lump is in Purbrook, just next to the hill. Company name PSI, and number is 023 92384101, he really knows his stuff, and is really good mate!

Ill have to come for a spin in this sometime soon, as for mods, look at rejetting the carbs, and a decent intake and exhaust, although sounds like that may already be done!

has no filters at all. my r1 powered quad bike has pipercross socks and sucked too much air in. im wondering if it needs a proper filter set up. exhaust is a micron race can. not sure about the carbs. ill speak to your man though cheers

primer absorbs water, but i do think some sort of secretly mint but rat looking is the way forward, maybe not to the extremes that the vdub boys do or ratrods with the "rust" but something similar

Micron will do you perfect fella, nice can!! Speak to my man, he also deals in upgrades for them too, so is really good! And labour rate is amazing! He MOT'd my bike, changed front pads, readjusted the yokes, rebuilt front and rear calipers, and changed the exhaust over for the MOT use, all for £240

i find it hard to pull away in 1st. its such a fine biting point. i think an uprated clutch is needed.

A women I work with has recently had her husbands Bedford Rascal stolen and we've been making jokes in the office about it being too slow and not worth its weight in scrap metal, not ideal for a getaway van.....now I find this thread and it all makes sense, they are fast lol..

One thing I will say though, they ride and handle much better with a bit of weight in the back so so think about some rear ballast, shouldnt blunt the performance much especially if you do turbo it.
