If you can get someone to grab you a couple of oil filled portable rads you will be ok, just don't look at the leccy meter!
Not likely, we were cringing at our card bouncing for £30 the other day (another unseen debt came our way and today I found out I am £40 a month less off ) so we have absolutely no money, our saving grace for tomorrow is that British Gas are going to invoice us for a contract for a year which is £40 more than usual but oh well, so we don't have ANY money, Dan's parents live about an hour away and have to be in work early tomorrow so cant help (not that we have asked), and its not as if I can go anywhere with the baby tomorrow as I have to wait for them to turn up between ten and six and its already bloody freezing here :( I have to keep on bumping threads to try and get attention drawn to it. It really is cold and heating has only been off for about two hours :( usually it comes on at four to heat it up for kids ready at six am onwards :(

Our boiler was broken for two days a few weeks ago :( It sucks, I hope you get yours fixed faster.
One thing that helped us is, hole up in the kitchen with lots of blankets and put the oven, cooker, hobs etc on full with their doors open and so on. That'll all kick out plenty of heat, though it won't really heat the rest of the house very well. Just try not to go to sleep with open gas fires running.
Still no sign of the engineer and still no heat in the house, its freezing even under a duvet :(
There's no point knocking cooker on to heat the room (though its got six rings), we have the passage way and stairs before it gets to the living room :(
Ah well, at least it's not snowing.
Ive got a couple of heaters here in the office you can borrow, but I wont be able to drop them off Im afraid :(
Let me know - we is in Cambourne, about an hour from you
Unfortunately we only have one car in the household that works at the moment, and Dan has that for work
What a day so far!!
Thank you for your offer

What does that matter . . . you should be in the kitchen anyway. :D

I have a couple of smallish electric heaters that work really well. Not oil filled, but will quickly warm a small room.
I do use them but will happily lend them to you, can drop them around if you like. I know you are MK based.
They are not that bad on the electricity bill if you dont go mental with them.

Jow I have an electric fan heater and an Oil filled electric radiator you are more than welcome to borrow.
