You'll really struggle to get a Spec R that isn't silver.

Hola Richie,
Yes I have one mate. If you look back on the "So who has one anyway?" section, you'll see mine with all the details. Mine started life exactley the same as yours but as you'll see it's on it's way.
First thing for you to do is to ditch the standard wheels and get some nice fat 18s (mine would pass the import test until we swopped just for the test). The handling benefits are instant and they will give the car a totally edgier look.
Oh, and all my mods are being done by a Nissan GT-R dealership in St.helens. Which looks a lot better in your history file.
I am just lookign into an aero and spoiler kit, racing springs and how much over I can go over (if at all) 300 bhp.

Speak to Lenagh, see what he thinks of Middlehurst Nissan lol
I'm looking to swap my civic for either an s15 or an Integra DC5 but the s15s looking the favourite at the moment :D :D
I was going to get a civic, but I bought rich's S15 instead.
Well chuffed.
s 15 spec R in silver. no aero kit so i can add my own stuff as I get it...
Go on you know you want one.

Steve,
Let me know how you go on finding an aero kit. I am currently looking also but finding it difficult to make up my mind. I can't seem to find one that is the business all round.

Nor can I !!
i like the jun front splitter, but I am also looking at the trust Gracer front splitter.
Looking into a trust rear spoiler but I have not seen any piccies yet.
I like the do luck rear wing but it is £800 and this is a tad expensive... might still do it if I don't like the trust one..
also looking into exhausts at the mo, what are you running ?
i was also thinking of going trust on this, I had a trust front pipe on my old skyline and it made a lot more power than other cars of the same spec with a different downpipe. might have been luck though.
Also looking at the Trust filter and box... dunno yet though I seem to have found another wy to spend inordinate amounts of cash.:D
Mail me some piccies of your carif you have any, I'd be keen to see it.
regards
Steve

I've got a full Kakimoto exhaust unit which was already on the car when it was imported. I've only seen these on imported cars and it is just mental loud and I love it. From what I've heard from others this unit should be adding nearly an extra 30bhp to the car. The HKS superflow also made a massive difference to the upper rev range, you think it's just going to go straight round past the red.
I'll get you some pictures emailed. You'll see that I really need to get it lowered but I've got a problem with the width of the BBS alloys I've got on. I don't think they are going to fit into the wheel arch once it's lowered. Any ideas on getting around this problem apart from changing the alloys? A mate of mine tells me you can get the wheel arches flared at about £200 an arch?
What sits have you been lookign at for the aero stuff?
Nick
rolling the arches might work.
Depends how much you need them done by.
Aero kits have been mainly checking www.takakaira.co.jp and google searches.
i don't want a full on kit though.
i quite like the car with nothing so I want to go a bit minimal on it. with a low level rear spoiler, front splitter and later on if it needs them side skirts.
I am trying to find out what the trust gracer front splitter looks like.
Looking at some R34 alloys at the moment, if this falls through I know soomeone with R33 alloys for sale.
just ordered a trust filter + exhaust.
I need a bung though as I'll be doing a fair few miles in the car and I don't need a headache every morning !!

Yes it is the same kit as the one from the Option Drift Club, the car is in July's Japanese Performance mag. However, Non says it is the standard kit that comes with the Aero Spec-R model. It looks really good in the mag!
(Piers, I'll email you some info when I get my brains back from holiday mode)
Nick
Viewed an S15 on Saturday. Really pi$$ed off now. Although, I thought the interior and seats were a bit...well...cheap looking.
what model ?
I like the interior in mine...
but it depends if you are into walnut and leather i suppose.
What year and how much was it up for if you don't mind me asking ?
/Steve
http://www.nicely.dabsol.co.uk/meets/s15_visit.html
I like that but then it is almost exactly the same as mine!!
The spoiler on it is an optional extra available from the factory.
what sort of mileage has it done ?
I like the interior compared to my old R33 GTR but I am not a fan of leather seats.
the only downsideis the centre console scratches really easily.
what colour was the spec r aero ?
cheers
Steve
That one was 44k. Overpriced a bit, I think, but could probably be knocked down slightly. Leather seats are easier to keep clean and add a bit more 'special'.
Aero was silver too.

You may have to be quick if you are going to buy one. I spoke to Option Motorsport the other week and they believe there are only about 10 spec-R's in the country (??) and don't see many more coming in after the new regs.
BTW, I'm with Steve on the interior. However, i am going to change the seats for some more like the R34 GTR seats. But it's a suppor thing not a leather V cloth thing.
Did you drive it? I haven't driven a standard spec-R but i cannot see any comparisons, inside or out to my previous S14.
Get stuck in, fill your boots man, you know you want it!!!
